Lando's Final 2026 NFL Mock Draft
It's about that time, boys. The NFL draft is right around the corner, and I'm ready to end off the speculation with a mock draft featuring 7 rounds of absolutely great picks. I'll give explanations for the first two rounds, and then we'll just name the picks. I think I've got a good idea what teams are going to do this year, which will inevitably be about 10% right as chaos spreads in around pick 7. I have a lot of hope in what is about to come on April 23rd. Hopefully, you're as excited as I am. I don't want to waste any more of your time, so let's get started. I'm proud to present to you...
LANDO'S FINAL 2026 NFL MOCK DRAFT
ROUND 1
1.1 - Las Vegas Raiders - Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana
This is the biggest no-brainer in the entire class. The Las Vegas Raiders need their franchise QB, and Fernando Mendoza is the best QB in the class by a wide margin. He's got a very good arm and he's a very smart quarterback, rarely making mistakes. I also think he has surprising mobility for a QB of his archetype. He has the potential to be a top 10 quarterback in the league for the Raiders. Let's hope he works out better than their last first overall pick.
1.2 - New York Jets - Arvell Reese, EDGE, Ohio State
After Dante Moore decided to return to Oregon, the Jets found themselves in a weird spot. They need to take the player they think can be the best, and that seems to be Arvell Reese. He was used in a lot of ways at Ohio State, but he fits best as a pass rusher in my opinion. He has a lot of development he could do, and he's already a really good player. He has all of the tools, it's just up to the Jets coaching staff to put him in the best decision to succeed.
1.3 - Dallas Cowboys (via ARI) - David Bailey, EDGE, Texas Tech
TRADE: The Cowboys send picks 12, 20, and 92 to the Cardinals for pick 3.
Dallas needs to replace Micah Parsons, and there are rumors that they've contacted the Cardinals about a potential trade up. I think they might make the decision to move up to 3, considering that David Bailey seems like the perfect fit for what Dallas is looking for. He's a great pass rusher who has good size and produced really well after transferring to Texas Tech last season. He's explosive and fluid, and seems to be a play-maker on the defense. Getting him would be a good way to rejuvenate the defense for the Cowboys.
1.4 - Tennessee Titans - Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame
#4 goes at pick #4 as the Titans decide to get a dynamic weapon in Notre Dame's Jeremiyah Love. Love is without question the best running back in the class, and he has the potential to be elite from day one. He's fast, he's explosive, and can play both as a rusher and a receiver. Even though they have Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears, Love would be a great fit as the best player available and the potential next great running back in a long line of Titans greats including Eddie George, Chris Johnson, and Derrick Henry.
1.5 - New York Giants - Sonny Styles, LB, Ohio State
John Harbaugh seems like he's going to focus on defense with this pick, and the choice would be between Styles and his teammate, Caleb Downs. I went with Styles here because I think he'd be an excellent fit next to Tremaine Edmunds and Micah McFadden. Styles is a hyper-athletic, smart linebacker who really proved himself as an athlete at the combine. This is the kind of player I think has the potential to be great for a decade. His athleticism as a former safety plus his intelligence gives me that hope.
1.6 - Arizona Cardinals (via CLE) - Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami (FL)
TRADE: The Cardinals send picks 12 and 34 to the Browns for picks 6 and 70
After trading down, the Cardinals trade back up to get their right tackle of the future. Mauigoa is a big, strong tackle who's played his entire career there for the Hurricanes. Arizona lost Jonah Williams to free agency, and could use a replacement there. Mauigoa paired with Paris Johnson at the tackle spots would be a great way to keep the quarterback of the future protected... whoever that will be. I think it'd be smart for the team to focus on the trenches at the start of the draft, and getting an extra first in the process while still getting the guy they should take at 3? Amazing.
1.7 - Washington Commanders - Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State
I don't think it'd be smart for the Commanders to go into this next season with Treylon Burks and Luke McCaffrey as the best options after Terry McLaurin. Why not go back to Terry's college and get a guy who has the potential to be an excellent receiver? Tate is a good route runner who plays with a lot of focus and balance. With Deebo Samuel leaving after an okay season, Washington should get Tate in the fold and give Jayden Daniels all the help he can get.
1.8 - New Orleans Saints - Caleb Downs, S, Ohio State
New Orleans' defense has a bit of work to do to improve, and they to add some elite talent to do it. Caleb Downs might be the best player in the entire draft, and the Saints have had that Ohio State connection with Chris Olave, Michael Thomas, and Marshon Lattimore in the past. Downs might be the best of those players, though, with his intelligence being off the charts and his ability being just as crazy. If the Saints can nab him? They might be dangerous.
1.9 - Kansas City Chiefs - Rueben Bain Jr., EDGE, Miami (FL)
Rueben Bain's 2025 College Football Playoff run is one of the greatest I've ever seen from a player. He's a true game-breaker who has the potential to be an elite edge rusher. He has both speed and power to boot. This dude plays angry and it's really fun to watch. His explosiveness has the potential to make him elite. The main reason he isn't projected to go higher is due to something out of his control ... his arm length. He's an outlier in that department, and it's the only worry I really have for him. There's also the car accident he was in that killed a girl, but apparently it was more of an unfortunate situation than him doing anything dangerous like drunk driving. For the Chiefs? I think Bain would be a great fit. Him paired with George Karlaftis would anchor that defense for a while.
1.10 - New York Giants (via CIN) - Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU
The Bengals traded pick 10 for Dexter Lawrence in a completely unprecedented move for the franchise. With this pick, I think the Giants need to get another corner to help out after losing Cor'Dale Flott to the Titans. Mansoor Delane is the best corner in this class, and he plays well in press coverage. The Giants have a lot of work to do to make their defense work again after losing Lawrence, and adding help in the secondary should be a priority.
1.11 - Miami Dolphins - Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee
Miami has almost nothing going for them in the secondary, so they definitely need to address it early. The team signed 13 defensive players, and I STILL think they need to add help. Jermod McCoy is explosive and has good ball skills for a defender. He plays with good patience, speed, and quickness. His injury issues are worrying, but he has immense potential and I think he could absolutely be the best corner in the class in the future. Miami needs to focus on getting the best possible players on their teams, and Jermod McCoy is absolutely that based on this board.
1.12 - Cleveland Browns (from DAL via ARI) - Monroe Freeling, OT, Georgia
Cleveland head coach Todd Monken was at Georgia when Monroe Freeling was recruited, and now has the chance to draft him with a first round pick. After trading down with the Cardinals, the Browns decide to get their left tackle of the future. Freeling's athleticism made a big splash at the combine, and he has elite length and quickness. He has a few flaws, such as his raw technique, but he has immense potential and working with an upgraded OL should be a great thing for him. Whether it be Shedeur Sanders, Deshaun Watson, or Dillon Gabriel, the quarterback of this team needs an OL, and Freeling could be the anchor of that in the future.
1.13 - Los Angeles Rams (via ATL) - Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State
With Davante Adams getting older and Puka Nacua's personal issues, the Rams might need to address WR pretty soon. Tyson is an elite talent who's had some problems with injury in the past, but his upside is immense. His ball skills and body control are elite, and he has the speed to do really well at the next level. Los Angeles getting an early first-round pick from Atlanta's idiocy is how they got this selection, and using it on a guy who has the potential to be an elite WR3 in a must-win year could be how you get Matthew Stafford a 2nd ring before he retires.
1.14 - Baltimore Ravens - Spencer Fano, OT/OG, Utah
Baltimore's offensive line last season is one of the main reasons they didn't make the playoff. The decision here was between Fano and Vega Ioane, but I figured going for the more versatile OL might be a great move for a team that has a lot of needs across it. Fano has excellent tools, and he's athletic, but the concern is that his build may not be the ideal fit for tackle. He could move into guard, or even play center if the Ravens need him. They honestly need something everywhere, so the question is where he'll fit. I expect him to play guard, but he very well could play center for the team to replace Tyler Linderbaum.
1.15 - Philadelphia Eagles (via TB) - Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon
TRADE: The Eagles trade picks 23 and 68 to the Buccaneers for pick 15.
A.J. Brown's time in Philadelphia is probably over. He's been frustrated with the team for a while, so it's time for them to find another pass-catcher. I considered Makai Lemon here, but he just feels redundant with DeVonta Smith still in the fold. Instead, the team drafts a high-upside tight end who's heavily athletic and quick. Sadiq didn't have the highest productivity at Oregon, but he has the potential to be elite, especially in an offense like Philadelphia's.
1.16 - New York Jets (via IND) - Omar Cooper Jr., WR, Indiana
The Jets can't go into the season with Isaiah Williams as one of their top 3 wide receivers. Omar Cooper would be an excellent fit for what the Jets are looking for. He's a strong wide receiver who played the slot full time in 2025, which is exactly what the Jets need. He has good acceleration and plays well through contact. The Jets need to establish their surrounding cast before aiming for a QB next year. Adding Omar Cooper to pair with Garrett Wilson and Adonai Mitchell would be an excellent move.
1.17 - Detroit Lions - Kadyn Proctor, OT, Alabama
Detroit needs another tackle to pair with Penei Sewell after Taylor Decker's release. Kadyn Proctor was a highly rated tackle who could play either side for the Lions. With the rumors of Penei Sewell's switch over to LT, they might need to move him to right. They could also just keep both in their usual spots if they decide to. Proctor plays with a lot of power, size, and length. The only issue is his speed, but he's a man-handling blocker who fits well in a run-heavy scheme like Dan Campbell's. If they can get over the alleged character concerns, he could be a slam dunk pick here.
1.18 - Minnesota Vikings - Dillon Thieneman, S, Oregon
Outside of Fernando Mendoza, this is the pick that is easiest to picture in my mind. Of course it'd be stereotypical of me to say "Oh a white safety? He's definitely a Viking", but the situtation here is way more than that. Thieneman started 3 years for Purdue and Oregon, and he is a versatile safety who plays with a lot of speed and pursuit. With Harrison Smith not re-signing with the team in 2026, Thieneman would be an easy replacement who fits the scheme and could be the next great player in that secondary.
1.19 - Carolina Panthers - Keldric Faulk, EDGE, Auburn
Carolina needs more help along the DL. Faulk is a lengthy, strong player who has good athleticism and a high ceiling. The team could use a run defender of his caliber, and he has potential as a pass rusher as well. His production dipped in 2025, but he wasn't used the way he probably should've been by the coaching staff. The worry with this is that the NFL staff that gets him may use him similarly. If he can live up to his potential, Carolina may have the steal of the draft on their hands. Let's just hope they use him right.
1.20 - Arizona Cardinals (from GB via DAL) - Ty Simpson, QB, Alabama
With their extra first round pick, the Cardinals decide to get their potential quarterback of the future. Kyler Murray headed off to Minnesota, so they're likely going to start Jacoby Brissett while they give Simpson the development he needs. I think Simpson has become underrated somewhat, with some people saying he shouldn't go until the 2nd. He's my 22nd-rated player in the class, and I think he has the potential to develop into a good starter at the NFL level. The former 5-star prospect has good mechanics and processes well, but the timing and anticipation are still not to the expected level. If Arizona can help him develop further, he could be elite.
1.21 - Pittsburgh Steelers - Makai Lemon, WR, USC
Pittsburgh has two bigger receivers in D.K. Metcalf and Michael Pittman Jr., and pairing them with a slot guy like Makai Lemon may be a good move. Pittsburgh has a great history of WRs, and giving their potential QB (Will Howard, hopefully) an elite receiving corps would be a great move in development. Makai Lemon has great ball skills and slightly lower size, and would fit perfectly as the slot wide receiver in this offense. The reason he falls here is due to rumored character concerns in his interviews, so of course he's going to Pittsburgh.
1.22 - Los Angeles Chargers - Olaivavega Iaone, OG, Penn State
The Chargers need as much help as they can get on the offensive line. Hopefully, their elite tackle duo can stay healthy, but they didn't have much of an interior line throughout the season. They signed Tyler Biadasz, and Cole Strange/Trevor Penning should compete for one of the guard spots. A guy like Vega Ioane could go higher, but there are so come concerns with his lack of athleticism. He's a physical blocker who should fit well in a Harbaugh-led scheme. Justin Herbert would be absolutely ecstatic with this pick.
1.23 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers (via PHI) - Jacob Rodriguez, LB, Texas Tech
The retirement of long-time linebacker Lavonte David left a hole in the Bucs corps at the position. They signed Alex Anzalone, but he's not going to be a long-term solution, and SirVocea Dennis' contract expires after the season. Rodriguez is one of my favorite players in the class, and his production was elite this past season. If Tampa Bay wants to rejuvenate their defense, adding a player of Rodriguez's caliber would be an excellent move. Rodriguez has experience as a former QB, and his ability to defend the pass is elite. I think he can an elite linebacker in the future, and Tampa Bay should consider him.
1.24 - Cleveland Browns (from JAX) - K.C. Concepcion, WR, Texas A&M
Cleveland needs to find a #1 WR, and K.C. Concepcion could be that guy for them. Cleveland traded down with Jacksonville last year to acquire another first-round pick. Cleveland needs a potentially dynamic receiver like this, who plays with burst and creates separation well. He's a great player in press coverage, and shows good instincts against zone coverage. Cleveland needs some young talent in the receiving corps, and Concepcion can absolutely be that guy.
1.25 - Chicago Bears - Kayden McDonald, DT, Ohio State
Kayden McDonald is the best run defender of the defensive tackles available, and that's something the Bears could use next to Gervon Dexter. Pairing these two together would be a nightmare for the Josh Jacobs' and Jahmyr Gibbs' of the world. He isn't the greatest pass rusher, but he's big, strong, and nasty as a tackler. The Bears have their choice of the defensive tackles, and they choose McDonald, who has the potential to be one of the best nose tackles in the entire league.
1.26 - Kansas City Chiefs (via BUF) - Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, S, Toledo
TRADE: The Chiefs trade picks 29, 148, and 176 to the Bills in exchange for pick 26 and pick 220
While they passed on Downs earlier to instead take Rueben Bain, they trade back up at the end of the first to take Toledo safety Emmanuel McNeil-Warren. The last of the really good safeties in this class, McNeil-Warren is an anticipating safety who plays very well near the line of scrimmage. He's a good tackler who has great run support technique. With losing Bryan Cook, the Chiefs need someone in the secondary who can replace him. McNeil-Warren is an absolutely fantastic prospect who would be an intriguing look for the Chiefs.
1.27 - San Francisco 49ers - Denzel Boston, WR, Washington
Denzel Boston comes from Washington as a 2-year starter who has some limitations in his athleticism. However, he has great ball skills and is a great red zone threat. After signing Mike Evans and Christian Kirk, it'd be smart for the Niners to add some youth in the receiving corps to pair with them, especially if they end up trading Brandon Aiyuk. If Boston can develop, his toughness and burst can give him the potential to be a similar receiver to how Puka Nacua is on the Rams.
1.28 - New York Jets (via HOU) - Chris Johnson, CB, San Diego State
TRADE: The New York Jets send picks 33 and 103 to the Texans for pick 28
With a few defense-needy teams in front of them, the Jets trade up with the probably-desperate-to-move-out-of-the-first Texans to get their potential CB1 of the future. Johnson didn't play the best competition in college, but you could say that about former Jet Sauce Garnder as well. Chris here is a disciplined, technique-heavy corner who plays with toughness and athleticism. He could join a defense that signed a ton of free agents, and hopefully he can help the team record their first interception since 2024.
1.29 - Buffalo Bills (via KC) - Akheem Mesidor, EDGE, Miami (FL)
Buffalo has to be in win-now position any time Josh Allen is their QB. I don't think anybody can be too confident about where Akheem Mesidor is going to end up, and that's because he just turned 25 years old. That's the reason I think rebuilding teams like the Jets and the Dolphins will be wary of drafting him, but their division rival in upstate New York adds him to a rotation featuring recent signee Bradley Chubb and fellow former Hurricane Gregory Rousseau. Mesidor plays with good strength and works as a high-effort pass rusher. He needs to be able to produce immediately for the Bills.
1.30 - Miami Dolphins (via DEN) - T.J. Parker, EDGE, Clemson
Miami got this pick by trading Jaylen Waddle, but they add a replacement for Bradley Chubb instead. Parker had a production decline in 2025, but part of that is the coaching difficulties Clemson faced throughout the season. He has long arms that can help him tackle well, but he needs to improve his rush defending. Pairing him with Chop Robinson could set the Dolphins up for success in the next few seasons. If Parker can overcome the weird year he just had, the Dolphins might be making a great decision.
1.31 - New England Patriots - Max Iheanachor, OT, Arizona State
Drafting Will Campbell at 4 last season should solidify the left tackle position for the foreseeable future under Drake Maye, so why not continue to stabilize the OL by drafting a right tackle? Max Iheanachor is a high-potential prospect who didn't play football for a long time, but he's proven himself to be a potentially elite player with his size and strength. He needs to work on his technique, but he can easily be a good run protector, which TreVeyon Henderson would like. If he can develop his pass protecting? He'll be the starter to the front and right of Drake Maye for a decade.
1.32 - Seattle Seahawks - Brandon Cisse, CB, South Carolina
The Seahawks lost Riq Woolen this offseason, so they need to try to find someone to add to the secondary. Cisse is an athletic player who would be given room to develop with Witherspoon, Jobe, and Emmanwori around him. He has a lot of refinement in his future, but his potential is otherworldly. A team like Seattle, who just won it all, would be the perfect place for him to improve. He's a competitive player who can play in most schemes and is a good run supporter. For Mike MacDonald, this is a guy who can be an elite player in the future, and he absolutely wants that.
ROUND 2
2.33 - Houston Texans (via NYJ) - Peter Woods, DT, Clemson
Houston needs to add some more force in the interior defensive line. He's capable of playing in whatever scheme you need, and has explosiveness in his lower body to win. He has shorter arms, which is a concern, but he can work as a brawler. DeMeco Ryans needs a tough player like this. Woods could easily be a nice fit for Houston's defense next to fellow 33rd pick Logan Hall.
2.34 - Cleveland Browns (via ARI) - D'angelo Ponds, CB, Indiana
The only pick in this mock that was given to me by dream, D'angelo Ponds has the potential to be an elite nickel, which is what the Browns need to continue elevating their defense to a high level. Ponds is a competitive player who plays with a lot of quickness, but his size is going to prevent him from playing the perimeter at the NFL level. Cleveland needs more help in the secondary, and Ponds can be that.
2.35 - Miami Dolphins (via TEN) - Blake Miller, OT, Clemson
TRADE: The Dolphins send picks 43 and 94 to the Titans in exchange for pick 35.
Austin Jackson has struggled with injuries lately, and he only has one year left on his contract. The Dolphins decide to trade up to get an experienced blocker who will be an immediate upgrade at the position. Blake Miller has started 54 games for the Tigers, and he plays like a finisher, not really being beaten much. He's tall and his arms are long, but he has some issues with his hands as a player.
2.36 - Las Vegas Raiders - Caleb Lomu, OT, Utah
Geno Smith struggled partly due to the atrocious offensive line that the Raiders put out there for him. If they add a guy that can potentially play either side, they give themselves hope that Mendoza doesn't suffer the same fate. Lomu is a great pass-blocking tackle who started at left tackle across from Spencer Fano at right tackle, but he can play right tackle at the next level due to his anchor and athleticism.
2.37 - Pittsburgh Steelers (via NYG) - Chase Bisontis, OG, Texas A&M
TRADE: The Steelers send picks 53 and 85 to the Giants in exchange for pick 37.
Pittsburgh lost starting guard Isaac Seumalo to the Cardinals this offseason. They should use one of their 3 third-rounders to trade up and get one of the 3 early-2nd level guards. They choose Chase Bisontis, who plays tough and has a Steelers-esque power to him that I'm sure Mike McCarthy would love. He would be a good starting guard in the Steel City.
2.38 - Houston Texans (via WAS) - C.J. Allen, LB, Georgia
Normally, I'd take an OL here for Houston, but with them losing Christian Harris and C.J. Allen being by far the best LB on the board, they might need to address defense further. Allen is a tough linebacker that fits the type of player that DeMeco Ryans likes having on the team, and he's a great blitzer who can play every down. Houston has picks that can give them a high floor as a team, and getting a player like Allen with their second one would be a nice pickup.
2.39 - Cleveland Browns - Chris Brazzell, WR, Tennessee
After adding Concepcion earlier, the Browns add another wide receiver due to how depleted their corps is. Brazzell is a lengthy, downfield receiver who can make the offense better. He has the traits to be successful, and he finally put those traits to use in this past season with the volunteers. He could be an excellent receiver for the Browns, and pairing him with K.C. Concepcion gives them two nice new threats.
2.40 - Kansas City Chiefs - Colton Hood, CB, Tennessee
The Chiefs could use another corner after trading Trent McDuffie and losing Jaylen Watson. Colton Hood is a press-man player who's disruptive and disciplined. He has the mentality to be a great player, and Kansas City absolutely feels like the right team to take this guy. Hood is aggressive and positions himself the right way every single play. With him and EMW in the fold, the Chiefs defense is reinvigorated.
2.41 - Atlanta Falcons (via CIN) - Avieon Terrell, CB, Clemson
Atlanta sees an opportunity to pair A.J. Terrell with his younger brother and they pull the trigger by trading a couple Day 3 picks. Avieon has the potential to go higher, but there are some injury concerns I worry will leave him going early day 2 rather than late day 1. He's athletic, fluid, and speedy. He's an effective man corner who should be a good complement to his brother in Atlanta.
2.42 - New Orleans Saints - Malachi Lawrence, EDGE, UCF
New Orleans adds to their edge rush group with Malachi Lawrence, an explosive player who's had a great career for the Knights. He plays with a boatload of athleticism, and his size is great for a player of his caliber. He's already a great run stopper, and he has the potential to improve his pass rush at the next level. The Saints pairing him with Chase Young after losing Cam Jordan would be excellent.
2.43 - Tennessee Titans (via MIA) - Zion Young, EDGE, Missouri
Robert Saleh needs to get another edge to pair with Jermaine Johnson and Oluwafemi Oladejo. Young is a length edge rusher who plays with a lot of strength and anger. He's a physical specimen who has some rumored character issues, but he plays with such a tenacity that it'd be hard not to envision him as a good NFL player. Tennessee could use a guy like this in their edge group.
2.44 - New York Jets (via DAL) - Emmanuel Pregnon, OG, Oregon
The Jets signed Dylan Parham, but lost Alijah Vera-Tucker to division rival New England. It'd be smart for them to sure up their OL by adding another guard. Pregnon is an experienced guard who plays as a downfield blocker. He's a good pass protector with good length and durability. He'll be an immediate run-blocking upgrade who can start immediately.
2.45 - Baltimore Ravens - Germie Bernard, WR, Alabama
Baltimore could use some more help alongside Zay Flowers. Germie Bernard is a versatile player who can play any position as a receiver. He's a good route runner who plays with some outstanding footwork. The Ravens need to be all in on Lamar, and surrounding him with more good receivers is exactly how they manage this. Bernard feels like the best fit of the receivers available.
2.46 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers - R Mason Thomas, EDGE, Oklahoma
The pass rush in Tampa Bay has been a problem, and they need to add somebody. R Mason Thomas is a good rush linebacker who should fit well for their scheme. He has explosiveness and shows a lot of speed that can disrupt the offensive line. He has the potential to be able to be a really good edge rusher in the NFC South, and that's really what Tampa Bay needs to get back in the playoff.
2.47 - Indianapolis Colts - Anthony Hill Jr., LB, Texas
Trading Zaire Franklin was probably the right decision due to his regression recently, but the Colts still need to add another presence in their LB corps. Anthony Hill is a very good athlete, and he's been consistent over his career at Texas. He's a three-down linebacker who plays with good instincts and body control. The Colts should be absolutely ecstatic to get him this late.
2.48 - Cincinnati Bengals (via ATL) - Jake Golday, LB, Cincinnati
While they drafted 2 linebackers with Demetrius Knight and Barrett Carter last year, the Bengals have met with a few linebacker prospects for the upcoming draft. Jake Golday is a local prospect the Bengals have shown interest in, and there's some good reasons why. He's big and explosive, and he should start out as a Sam linebacker, which is what they need.
2.49 - Minnesota Vikings - Christen Miller, DT, Georgia
The Vikings brought back Jalen Redmond, and here's another guy to pair with him. Christen Miller has the potential to be a very good nose tackle at the next level. He's strong but he's not necessarily the biggest player at the position. I think he's one of the better DTs in the class, and he feels like the kind of guy the Vikings would go after to fix the defensive line.
2.50 - Detroit Lions - Gabe Jacas, EDGE, Illinois
Detroit needs to add another edge to pair with Aidan Hutchinson on the DL. He has some of the best strength of any pass rusher in the class, and that's something I think Dan Campbell is really going to appreciate. He's not the most technical pass rusher but he has the physical force to make up for that. After losing Al-Quaddin Muhammad to the Bucs, this is a needed add.
2.51 - Carolina Panthers - Treydan Stukes, CB, Arizona
Carolina needs to add some more help on the defense even after drafting Keldric Faulk. Treydan Stukes is an older prospect who'll turn 25 during the season, but he's a talented nickel who's one of the most passionate players you'll meet in this class. He's a leader, and he communicates to ensure that the team is doing what they need to do around him.
2.52 - Jacksonville Jaguars (via GB) - Caleb Banks, DT, Florida
TRADE: The Jaguars send picks 56 and 124 to the Packers in exchange for pick 52.
Jacksonville sees some value left on the board and they trade up to get one of the potential best players in this entire class. Caleb Banks is an athletic freak who had one of the best combines you'll ever see. He'd probably be a first-round lock if it weren't for his injury issues. He played only two games this past season and then broke a bone at the combine. If Jacksonville can help him stay healthy, they have the steal of the draft right here.
2.53 - New York Giants (via PIT) - Lee Hunter, DT, Texas Tech
After trading Sexy Dexy, the Giants need to find someone to fill the nose tackle role on the defense. Lee Hunter probably isn't going to be the same level of player, but he's a big, strong player who can eat space efficiently. Jim Harbaugh wants to balance the team out, and trading Dexter Lawrence to get an extra first round pick will give the team a lot more talent. Lee Hunter can be the next good nose tackle on the G-Men.
2.54 - Philadelphia Eagles - Markel Bell, OT, Miami (FL)
Markel Bell, without exaggeration, is a giant. However, he goes one pick after the Giants here to the division rival Eagles. This dude is 6'9" and has some of the best physical attributes I've ever seen for a tackle. With Lane Johnson entering the end of his career, the Eagles need to find someone who can fill the right tackle role in the future. Markel Bell could learn a lot from Johnson, and his mass and strength will be able to protect Jalen Hurts for a while if all goes well.
2.55 - New England Patriots (via LAC) - Cashius Howell, EDGE, Texas A&M
TRADE: The Patriots send picks 63, 125, and 191 to the Chargers for pick 55.
Before it was revealed he has some of the tiniest arms in the entire class, Cashius Howell was projected to be a first-rounder. I honestly thought he could go to the Patriots there, but his fall ends in the 2nd round when they trade a couple Day 3 picks to move up 8 spots and get him. Howell is an elusive pass-rusher who has some good technique and is athletic, but the arms are the main worry with him. If he can overcome that, the Patriots can have one of the best picks of the draft.
2.56 - Green Bay Packers (via JAX) - Julian Neal, CB, Arkansas
Green Bay is looking to add more help in the secondary. Julian Neal is an athletic player, but he's a bit of a late bloomer. He's a sizable, lengthy corner who plays tough in press coverage with a lot of physicality. If they're to add some help, I think getting a guy with the best physical traits would be a great move. His ceiling is high, and I think teams will like him for that.
2.57 - Chicago Bears - A.J. Haulcy, SAF, LSU
Chicago needs to add some help in the secondary after the departures of Kevin Byard and Jaquan Brisker. A.J. Haulcy is the best of the 2nd-round level safeties, and his instincts are top notch. He's productive and effective as a tough, physical tackler. This is a guy who can make an offense's life miserable. Pairing him with Coby Bryant gives the team a rejuvenated corps in the secondary.
2.58 - Minnesota Vikings (via SF) - Jadarian Price, RB, Notre Dame
TRADE: The Vikings send picks 82, 97, and a 2027 5th to the 49ers in exchange for pick 58
A surprising fall for RB2, the Vikings trade a few picks to go up and get their franchise RB of the future. Price is an instinctive, moving back who plays with good strength and balance. He has good vision that should make him a nice fit in Minnesota. After spending a few picks on defense, the Vikings make a bold move to improve their offense with a potentially tremendous player.
2.59 - Houston Texans - Keylan Rutledge, OG, Georgia Tech
Houston made some good veteran signings on the offensive line this offseason, but I think they should continue to add through the draft. Keylan Rutledge is one of the most athletic guards in the class, but his toughness is the big aspect of his play that teams will like. DeMeco Ryans should like a guy who plays with this much physicality.
2.60 - Chicago Bears (via BUF) - Keyron Crawford, EDGE, Auburn
Keyron Crawford has been a riser on draft boards, and I think there's a good chance he ends up going in the middle of day 2. This dude is tough and pretty athletic. He's still pretty new to football, but his best days are absolutely ahead of him. If Chicago can develop him to where he needs to be in the future, they're going to have an amazing player on their hands.
2.61 - Los Angeles Rams - Caleb Tiernan, OT, Northwestern
The Rams' only real pressing need is WR, so they should add some depth that can be high-upside in the future after they address that. Tiernan played a lot of football in college, and he is a very tall player. He can play either guard or tackle. With how young and inexperienced the line is, adding a guy like Tiernan might be the right move, especially if unfortunate injuries happen.
2.62 - Denver Broncos - Eli Stowers, TE, Vanderbilt
Eli Stowers started out as a quarterback, but he quickly became one of the best tight ends in the entire country. He's a great pass-catcher who has limited upside blocking, but will work as a receiving threat for Bo Nix. Evan Engram isn't the same guy he used to be, so adding a guy who can be an immediate receiving threat for a team that's going all in seems like the right idea.
2.63 - Los Angeles Chargers (via NE) - Domonique "Big Citrus" Orange
From what I've heard, the Chargers are planning to add some more beef to their defensive line. What better than a big nose tackle who can help stop the run against players like Kenneth Walker and Ashton Jeanty? Big Citrus is a good player who shows a lot of excellent power and anchor, and his impact would be important to making the Chargers overcome the playoff hump.
2.64 - Las Vegas Raiders (via SEA) - Elijah Sarratt, WR, Indiana
TRADE: The Raiders send picks 67 and 134 to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for pick 64.
With wide receiver-needy teams ahead of them, the Raiders decide to trade up to get Fernando Mendoza's college teammate. He's a bigger receiver who plays with competitiveness and good jumping ability. He even wears #13 like another contested catch receiver I know of. Comparing Sarratt to Mike Evans may be a bit much, but with Mendoza passing him the ball? It's gonna be fun.
