Lando's 2nd 2026 NFL Mock Draft
Welp, I guess the NFL season is hitting its peak. Things are just as normal as ever. The Baltimore Ravens sit at 1-5, as MVP candidate Daniel Jones has led the Colts to a 6-1 record. Yep, that's exactly how people expected this season to go.
13. Dallas Cowboys - David Bailey, EDGE, Texas Tech
17. Kansas City Chiefs - Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon
18. Chicago Bears - Damon Wilson II, EDGE, Missouri
Obviously, I'm being facetious here. This season has been insane. Guys who were cast off from their original teams no more than 4 years ago (Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, and Daniel Jones) are playing with heart and putting up MVP caliber numbers. Meanwhile, Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow have both missed the majority of the season with injuries, while other teams have disappointed (looking at you, Miami). Either way, we're in the thick of it when it comes to the NFL. I think it's time to make a 2nd mock draft. The last draft I made had some... rough selections to say the least (Saywer Robertson at 4 feels particularly egregious), but I'm sure I can do better this time.
One note - I will be including a home jersey mockup of every prospect with their picture to visualize it better. Some players will have numbers that are already taken on that team's roster. I am only using their college numbers because I don't have the time to predict what number each player will wear when we don't know who's even going to be traded. Please do not complain about it. Now, let's get started.
LANDO'S 2ND 2026 NFL MOCK DRAFT
1] New York Jets - Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana
The New York Jets are a bad football team. Honestly, just saying that feels like an understatement. A lot of the blame has been placed on former Chicago Bears 1st-round pick Justin Fields, and I can't say that's not warranted. He has played terribly. Getting another QB to lead the offense would hopefully improve it by a lot. Mendoza has been one of the best quarterbacks in college football this season, and has helped bring Indiana to an undefeated record so far through 2025. He's one of the most accurate QBs in the country, his pocket presence is impressive, and he's got a decent arm. Fernando is my QB1 by a firm margin, and his play keeps backing that up. Mendoza has completed 73.5% of his passes this season for 1,755 yards, a career-high 21 TDs, and 2 picks through 7 games.
2. Miami Dolphins - Dante Moore, QB, Oregon
Tua Tagovailoa's regression has been very predictable considering his numerous concussion issues and composure concerns. Although his contract makes it difficult, the Dolphins would be unwise to not move on from the 2020 1st-rounder, especially if they fire Mike McDaniel as expected. Dante Moore has broken out onto the scene this year after spending last season as a backup, and has exploded. Oregon's offense has generated some crazy numbers, and a lot of it is because of Moore's play. The redshirt sophomore has apparently learned a lot from Dan Lanning, and is living up to his potential as a former 5-star recruit. Moore has a good arm and processes coverages well, with his ball placement being among the best in the country. He's not the most mobile guy, but his quick release makes up for it. Moore has completed 72.3% of his passes this season for 1,686 yards, 19 TDs, and 4 picks through 7 games.
3. Las Vegas Raiders [via NO] - Ty Simpson, QB, Alabama
TRADE: The Las Vegas Raiders send pick 7, their 2nd round pick, and a 2027 1st to the New Orleans Saints for pick 3.
It turns out that the Raiders gave up entirely too much value to the Seahawks for Geno Smith. Their offense has been one of the least explosive in the league, despite featuring rookie Ashton Jeanty and star tight end Brock Bowers. Las Vegas needs to find their franchise guy, and they need to do it yesterday. Unfortunately for them, they'll have to wait until April, but trading up for a franchise QB is a risky move. Ask the 49ers and Bears how that one turned out. Ty Simpson seems to be worth it, though. The redshirt junior has put up some great numbers and performances this season, with his quick release, great arm strength, and accuracy all making him a Heisman front-runner. Simpson could make that Raiders offense dynamic once again, and I'd be very excited to see it. Simpson has completed 70.2% of his passes for 1,931 yards, 18 TDs, and 1 interception through 7 games.
4. Tennessee Titans - Rueben Bain Jr., EDGE, Miami (FL)
Tennessee becomes the 1st team to not take a QB, and they get arguably the best defensive player in the draft in Miami standout Rueben Bain. He's a needed help, considering their best edge rusher is probably ... Dre'Mont Jones? Yeah, that needs to change. Bain's impact doesn't show up as much on the stat sheet as you'd expect from a top 5 pick, but he has been disruptive nonetheless. His pursuit is dominant, he's both powerful and flexible, and he's very versatile. He's also an excellent run defender. Some are concerned about his durability, considering an injury that derailed his prior seasons, but I think that just happens sometimes. Bain would be an excellent piece to a rebuilding Titans roster. Bain has put up 27 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, and an interception this season in 6 games.
5. Baltimore Ravens - Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State
In real life, it's likely the Ravens will not be picking this high. As of now, this is where they would pick. It was a toss-up between two players, and while I wanted to go defense here, the value with Tyson is too good to pass up. He has the potential to be an elite wide receiver in the NFL, with his separation ability and great hands making him a dangerous, explosive threat. The Ravens could use somebody like this to pair with Zay Flowers. Imagine that offense with Lamar healthy. The injury he had in 2024 is a concern, but his performance in 2025 is enough to take a chance on this level of talent. Their offense is already dangerous with Lamar, Flowers, and Henry, and adding Tyson would potentially put it over the edge. So far this season, Tyson has put up 57 receptions for 628 yards and 8 TDs in 7 games.
6. Cleveland Browns - Spencer Fano, OT, Utah
Part of the reason Cleveland's offense has been so lackluster this year is the turnover and injuries on the offensive line. Left tackle Jedrick Wills went unsigned in free agency, and new starting left tackle Dawand Jones went down with injury. Jack Conklin is also likely going to be gone in free agency. Grabbing a starting tackle is a must for the Browns, and Fano is my favorite of all the tackles in this class. He has good explosiveness and power for the position, and his flexibility and movement is incredible for a guy his size. His anchor is also particularly strong. It's important that the Browns protect Dillon Gabriel if they want him to be "the guy", and Fano would be a step in the right direction to do that.
7. New Orleans Saints [via LV] - Arvell Reese, LB, Ohio State
With both Cameron Jordan and Demario Davis being close to retirement on a rough Saints team, it'll be crucial that the front office finds an heir apparent fast. Here, they grab the best of both worlds in Ohio State's breakout star of the year - linebacker Arvell Reese. Reese is a physical freak, with great height and speed at the position. He's also just an insane player. When I say he does everything well, I mean everything. His coverage skills are excellent and aggressive, and his pass-rushing is explosive and physical. He's like a mixture of a safety and an edge rusher combined into one linebacker. His processing of plays is like that of an experienced veteran at the NFL level. My comparison for him is Micah Parsons, a guy who was also a LB in college but eventually transitioned into an edge rusher in the NFL. Reese has the potential to be that good. So far this season, Reese has put up 42 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, and 2 pass deflections in 7 games.
8. New York Giants - Kadyn Proctor, OT, Alabama
Look, Giants fans, I know the last time you drafted an Alabama tackle in the top 10, it didn't go so well. This time, it's a bit different. New York desperately needs to improve the O-line for Jaxson Dart, as both of their starters on the right side of the line are over 30 years old. Proctor is physical anomaly for the position, with insane strength, speed, and weight as a tackle. He was one of the highest-graded recruits in the country for a reason, after all. I like him better as a prospect than I liked Evan Neal, and that's saying a lot. Proctor's power and explosiveness give him an edge, and his bend and flexibility create obvious mismatches in the defense. There are some concerns with his conditioning, but NFL coaching should fix that if they do it right. He and Andrew Thomas could protect Dart for almost a decade together if all goes right.
9. Arizona Cardinals - Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami (FL)
Jonah Williams' contract expires after this season, so it'll be likely that they try to find a replacement in free agency or the draft. Mauigoa is the last of the "Big 3" tackles, and his athleticism speaks for itself. Mauigoa has started for Miami throughout this season and was on Feldman's freaks list alongside prior pick Kadyn proctor, and for good reason. He's strong and explosive, and his violence in blocking would make him a great pick. He'd have to transition to right tackle, but having both him and Paris Johnson could protect whoever's behind center for the next decade. I considered trading Kyler and giving the team a new QB here, but I don't think any of the QBs on the board are worth taking this high. Instead, we give Kyler another year and add some protection to help him out.
10. Houston Texans - Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame
NOTE: I legitimately couldn't find a single place that would let me generate the Texans' current jerseys. I had to use the old aways because of that. Do not complain or I will know you didn't read this. To the Texans, please fix this. Your team is already bad enough, I don't want to dislike you more.
As much as the Texans need an O-line to protect C.J. Stroud, I just don't like any of the options available right now and think they should get guys with both of their 2nd rounders instead. Jeremiyah Love is the best running back in college football, and I don't think it's that close. He's a game-wrecker, with the potential to house any play from anywhere at any time. He's not only dangerous in the run game, but also excels as a pass catcher. He's got blazing speed and power that gives opposing defenders nightmares. Just look at his play in the College Football Playoff last season. His 98-yard touchdown against Indiana was a game-changer that blew that game open for the Fighting Irish. Obviously, the concern is that the O-line isn't good enough, but Houston will have opportunities to address that with the draft capital they have. Love, this season, has attempted 124 runs for 758 yards and 9 touchdowns, including a 228-yard performance against USC last week.
11. Cincinnati Bengals - Caleb Downs, SAF, Ohio State
Cincinnati's defense is, once again, one of the worst in the NFL. I attribute a lot of that to the play of the safeties, who, apart from Jordan Battle, have been completely useless. The fact that they're still starting Geno Stone is an indictment on the front office of this team. Luckily, the best safety in the draft falls right into the Bengals' lap due to positional value. Downs is genuinely one of the best college football players I've ever watched. He's not just athletic and fast, but he's also extremely intelligent. His instincts are some of the best in the class, and he seems aware of everything that's going on in every play. He's also a great leader for the Buckeyes on and off the field. This is the kind of guy the Bengals need in both facets, as he has the chance to be a generational safety. Downs has put up 34 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and an interception so far this season through 7 games.
12. Los Angeles Chargers [via WAS] - Peter Woods, DT, Clemson
TRADE: The Los Angeles Chargers send pick 19, a 2025 6th, and a 2026 2nd to the Washington Commanders for pick 12 and a 2025 7th.
With a heavy need at defensive tackle and a top prospect falling, Jim Harbaugh pulls the trigger and negotiates a trade-up with the Commanders. Peter Woods has been part of a disappointing Clemson team this season, and I honestly think the entire team has just been demoralized. Nobody on that team has looked up to their previous performance, and they've got a losing record through 7 games. Peter Woods is still an insane talent, and he's definitely going to be a first-round pick with all the hype on him. He's explosive and athletic, with good power and motor to boot. Jim Harbaugh loves to build in the trenches, and Woods would do exactly that. A need is filled with a potentially elite talent. Perhaps going to play for Harbaugh is what Woods needs to become everything we think he can be. This season, Woods has put up 21 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and a sack in 7 games.
13. Dallas Cowboys - David Bailey, EDGE, Texas Tech

Dallas' blockbuster trade of Micah Parsons to the Packers continues to be one of the most baffling decisions of the year, but there's a method to Jerry Jones' madness. The team drafted Boston College EDGE Donovan Ezeiruaku last year, and I thought that was an excellent pick. Now, pairing him with David Bailey would be an intriguing combo for two guys who have a lot to prove. Bailey is another explosive edge rusher, with a quick release off the line giving him an advantage over any OL he faces. His athleticism also gives him a lot of leverage, with his speed being very rare for a player of his position. He's not the biggest guy, but his speed and flexibility gives him a lot of room to work in the Dallas defense. I'd be intrigued to see what they cook up with him. Bailey has been a monster this season, putting 23 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, and 10.5 sacks in 7 games.
14. Los Angeles Rams [via ATL] - Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee
The Rams need some more talent in the secondary, and I feel like Jermod McCoy is the #1 corner in the class. Despite a concern with an ACL tear in January, he has played really well whenever he's been on the field, and he's got some of the best ball skills in the class. His coverage skills are immense, and he's great at baiting receivers into thinking he's using a different type of zone than he is. He's also really good in press coverage, which is highly important, especially for someone with average speed at the position. His football IQ is off the charts, and he's one of the smartest players in the class. His measurables aren't the most flashy, but there's no denying the play on the field. Although he hasn't played this season, Jermod came up with 44 tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss, 4 interceptions, and 9 pass deflections in 2024 for the Vols.
15. Minnesota Vikings - Sonny Styles, LB, Ohio State
One of the more disappointing stories of this season has been the falloff of Vikings linebacker Ivan Pace Jr., who broke onto the scene as a rookie, but was benched this season in favor of Eric Murray and Blake Cashman. So, the Vikings decide to grab another guy at the position to potentially help improve Brian Flores' defense. Sonny Styles originally began his collegiate career as a safety, before a transition to linebacker helped him unlock his potential. He's a very athletic player, and has great instincts that help him bring in guys for tackles. He's excellent in zone coverage, and his play recognition is off the charts. There are worries about his ability in man coverage, but he still has the potential to improve at that facet of the game. Through 7 games for the Buckeyes, Styles has put up 39 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, an interception, and a forced fumble.
16. Carolina Panthers - Keldric Faulk, EDGE, Auburn
Carolina drafted multiple edge rushers last year, but I still think the team could benefit from more help on the defensive line. Auburn has been a train wreck this season, but highly-recruited edge rusher Keldric Faulk has been a bright spot. Faulk is an immensely talented player, with prototypical size and length that give him a lot of advantages against offensive linemen. He also has versatility along the defensive line, and he can kick inside if needed. At his best, he can be the leader of a front seven, but he needs to improve his pass rush technique and counters if he wants to reach that potential. His athletic prowess and motor can overpower any tackle in college at the moment, but he'll need good coaching to help get him to the next level. Through 7 games for the Tigers, Faulk has put up 17 sacks, 4 tackles for loss, and 2 sacks.
17. Kansas City Chiefs - Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon
Travis Kelce is one of the greatest tight ends to ever play football, but he's nearing the end of his career It'd be smart for the Chiefs to find someone who can fill the role after Kelce inevitably retires in the next few years. Sadiq is an excellent athlete, with great explosiveness and high-level speed for the position. He can run routes very well, and works in any spot. He's not the greatest blocker in the world, but he can engage when needed. He's a very smart player, as well, who has built up his frame and become one of the strongest players on the team. His body control gives him flexibility against linebackers and corners, and his hands allow for contested catches to be no issue. Sadiq would be an intruiging replacement for Kelce once the veteran retires, and I like Sadiq to be the next great weapon in the Chiefs' arsenal. Sadiq has caught 21 passes for 305 yards and 5 TDs through 7 games, which is already better than last years' production.
18. Chicago Bears - Damon Wilson II, EDGE, Missouri
A lot of people have Chicago taking a running back in the 1st, but I like Kyle Monangai and think they don't need one too early. Instead, the Bears grab another edge rusher in Mizzou prospect Damon Wilson II, former transfer from Georgia. Wilson is a great athlete with explosiveness as a pass-rusher and strength to boot. I love his motor, as he never seems to run out of gas, even when it matters. He was a 5-star recruit for a reason, and while it didn't work out at Georgia, it has turned into Mizzou's gain. His athletic prowess speaks for itself, and adding him next to Montez Sweat could create a potentially deadly duo in the NFC North. Wilson had a very strong performance against Alabama where he got 2 sacks, 2 TFLs, and recovered a fumble. Overall, through 7 games, he's had 12 tackles, 5.5 TFLs, and 5.5 sacks.
19. Washington Commanders [via LAC] - Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State
Deebo Samuel isn't getting any younger, and his injury this year makes me wonder if he's the right option long-term at WR2. Adding a great talent like Carnell Tate is a move that would make a lot of sense for a Washington team reliant on a young star QB. Carnell Tate had decent production as a sophomore, but has broken onto the scene in a big way as a junior in 2025. Tate reminds me of another former Ohio State receiver in Chris Olave with how good of a route-runner he is, but his frame is bigger than Olave's (Tate is 3 inches taller than Olave, for context). He's also excellent with his hands, making some great catches this season. This includes a magnificent catch against Texas for the winning score, which I saw in-person. Tate and McLaurin would make a fun duo. This would also mark the 2nd straight Ohio State receiver to be selected #19 in the draft after Emeka Egbuka in 2025. That would be fun. Carnell Tate has put up 34 catches for 587 yards and 6 TDs in 7 games so far throughout 2025 as Ohio State's #2 receiver.
20. Cleveland Browns [via JAX] - Makai Lemon, WR, USC
With their main WR target in Carnell Tate being taken one pick ahead of them, Cleveland goes with the next best option to add to their receiving corps next to Jerry Jeudy. This is a good consolation prize, though, as there's an argument to be made that Makai Lemon is just as talented as Carnell Tate. He's produced more, but he's in a different role in USC's offense. Either way, I think Lemon has solidified himself as a 1st-round pick with his play this season. Lemon is a quick route-running receiver that has good awareness and can change directions pretty well. He's a small receiver, at 5'11", 195 pounds, but his ability to consistently create separation gives him a really good chance to be an an immediate impact for the Browns. So far this season, Lemon has caught 48 passes for 758 yards and 6 TDs.
21. Buffalo Bills - C.J. Allen, LB, Georgia
The Bills really need to get some help on defense. Matt Milano and Terrel Bernard have both dealt with injuries this season, and it might be time to get some more help in that corps. C.J. Allen is undersized, but has the speed to make up for it. He's a strong, explosive tackler and has good coverage skills alongside that. He's one of the smartest players on the Georgia defense, and can be good as a pass-rusher if needed on a blitz. There are concerns about his play on man coverage assignments, but he can refine that in the NFL learning from Milano. He's smart enough to learn what to do and become better in the NFL. If the Bills want to stop Kansas City, they need to add more defensive help. That's what C.J. Allen is here to do. So far this season, Allen has boasted 56 tackles, 5.5. TFLs, 3 sacks, 3 pass deflections, 2 forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery in 7 games.
22. Seattle Seahawks - Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU
With the probability that Seattle moves on from Riq Woolen seeming like an inevitability at this point, it'd be smart for them to find another player in the secondary in the draft. Mansoor Delane started his career at Virginia Tech, but decided to transfer to LSU for this season. That decision has paid off so far as his draft stock has risen from a mid-rounder to a potential 1st-rounder. There are even some who have him as QB1. Delane is a quick, versatile corner with great insticts and aggressiveness. There are some concerns about his size, but he's still a great potential add in the secondary due to his intelligence and fluidity. Pairing him with Devon Witherspoon would be a good move in a division that features elite receiving talent like Puka Nacua. So far this season, Mansoor Delane has put up 28 tackles, an interception, and 6 pass deflections through 7 games.
23. Los Angeles Rams - Caleb Lomu, OT, Utah
Spencer Fano isn't the only Utah tackle that has a good chance to go in the first round. His teammate, Caleb Lomu, is currently projected as a late-1st pick and that's where he goes here. The Rams have a decent tackle duo, but Rob Havenstein is an older player who may retire soon and the Rams don't have a lot of needs on the roster. They could take a QB, but I don't think LaNorris Sellers will declare and I don't like any of the QB options available for them as a developmental prospect. Instead, we roll with a guy that could be the team's starting right tackle either from the jump or in the future. Lomu is a great athlete, but there are worries that his size is a bit too small to succeed at the NFL level. That's one thing that makes me think he could be a great developmental fit for the Rams.
24. Detroit Lions - Cashius Howell, EDGE, Texas A&M
Detroit needs some help on the other side of Aidan Hutchinson. There's a few guys at edge rusher I really like here, but one name I was really intrigued by was Texas A&M's Cashius Howell. After being 3rd on the depth chart behind Nic Scourton and Shemar Stewart last season, Howell has transitioned into being the starter this season, and he has not disappointed. After transferring in from Bowling Green for 2024, howell honed his craft and has become a dominant edge rusher, putting up some great numbers this season for the Aggies. Howell plays with good technique, and his length is something NFL scouts will salivate over. He's not the strongest player in the draft, but he plays with intelligence and a good motor. He's also versatile, dropping into coverage at moments. Howell would be a fun fit next to Hutchinson on that defensive line. Howell has put up 14 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, and 7.5 sacks this season through 7 games, as the Aggies have made their way to an undefeated 7-0 record.
25. Pittsburgh Steelers - Zachariah Branch, WR, Georgia
A lot of people have it ingrained that the Steelers will select a quarterback in round 1 of the draft, but I just don't see it happening. For starters, there are only 3 quarterbacks that I find to be worthy of the 1st round, with a couple day 2 guys. Pittsburgh will have the option of either selecting a guy in day 2 or starting former Ohio State quarterback Will Howard. Instead of drafting a QB, I have Pittsburgh going after another weapon for Arthur Smith to utilize in their offense. Zachariah Branch burst onto the scene as a freshman at USC, and transferred to Georgia for the 2025 season alongside his brother Zion. Branch is a speed demon who would give whatever QB Pittsburgh trots out there in 2026 a potentially dangerous deep ball threat. His body control is elite, and his hands are pretty good for a player of his archetype. Branch would be such an interesting player for the Steelers, especially alongside D.K. Metcalf. So far this season, Branch has caught 35 passes for 362 yards and 2 TDs through 7 games in 2025.
26. Denver Broncos - Anthony Hill Jr., LB, Texas
Denver already has one of the best defenses in football, but they see an opportunity here to sure up their linebacking corps and they take it without hesitation. Anthony Hill Jr. was a consensus 5-star recruit, and he has lived up to that billing, albeit on a Texas team that has been very disappointing this season. He's one of the most agile, athletic linebackers in college football, with a rare processing ability that makes him an extremely dangerous threat. He's still raw, and needs to develop his technique before being the elite player we all think he can be, but he'd be on one of the best defenses in football and would get an opportunity to learn from some very experienced players. Sean Payton would be running this card to the commissioner himself if this was the case. Hill has had 49 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, an interception, a pass deflection, 2 forced fumbles, and a fumble return so far through 7 games.
27. Miami Dolphins [via TB] - Avieon Terrell, CB, Clemson
TRADE: The Miami Dolphins send a 2026 2nd and 3rd to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for pick 27 and a 2026 4th round pick.
With a good amount of draft capital to play with, the Miami Dolphins decide to trade up to get a corner, which is desperately needed in a secondary that is in rough shape. Outside of Minkah Fitzpatrick, that unit is a mess, and they need to establish some young talent there. Avieon Terrell is the younger brother of Atlanta Falcons star A.J. Terrell, and has the potential to be a good corner in the league as well. The younger Terrell is a physical corner with fluidity and ball skills that all make him an intriguing prospect. Avieon's football intelligence gives him an edge over the receivers he faces at the collegiate level. There are some concerns in his frame, but he's got the skill to be an electric defensive player in the NFL. Although Clemson has been disappointing so far this year, Terrell has been a bright spot. So far this season, he has 28 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, a sack, 7 pass deflections, and 3 forced fumbles in 7 games.
28. Philadelphia Eagles - Quincy Rhodes Jr., EDGE, Arkansas
Philadelphia doesn't have a lot of glaring needs (maybe they could draft a new offensive coordinator, perhaps?), so instead of trying to get an immediate impact guy they draft a developmental edge rusher in Arkansas' Quincy Rhodes. Rhodes has been excellent this season, putting up some good stats and being a good bright spot on a team that is in real need of those. Rhodes is a big defender, at 6'6" and 276 pounds, and his strength shows. He can bull rush passers really well and can slide inside when needed, and has developed his technique really well. He's not as explosive as some of the other guys on this list, but he's a physical player and adjusts to whatever tackle he's facing. Rhodes has put up 26 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, and 5 sacks in 7 games for the Razorbacks.
29. New England Patriots - Gennings Dunker, OT, Iowa
New England drafted their left tackle of the future last season in LSU's Will Campbell, and signed Morgan Moses to be the right tackle. Morgan Moses is not the long-term answer, though, as he'll be 35 when this draft takes place. Instead, Mike Vrabel and co. decide to get Drake Maye someone to protect his right side in Iowa's Gennings Dunker. This is a guy who plays with incredible strength and aggressiveness that most NFL players would be jealous of. This is the perfect player for a Mike Vrabel-led offensive line. He doesn't just play with strength, however. He also plays with great technique and intelligence that gives him the whole package. He'd likely be one of the first 3 tackles off the board if his size and arm length weren't so below-average, but his play gives him reason to go in the first round. He'd be an excellent pickup for the Patriots.
30. San Francisco 49ers - Denzel Boston, WR, Washington
Brandon Aiyuk's contract continues to age poorly as he's played bad when on the field and has been off the field for way too long. The 49ers might need to look for a different WR to help out the offense alongside Pearsall and Jennings. Denzel Boston stays on the west coast as the best receiver on the board gets to join the 9ers late in the 1st round of the draft. Boston is an expert at separating and is a great jump ball guy. His speed is decent for a player of his style and his jumping ability makes him a red zone threat. He's a good compliment to this offense, and Kyle Shanahan would have a lot of fun with a guy like this on the roster. Through 7 games in 2025, Boston has put up 34 receptions for 515 yards and 6 touchdowns. He's had multiple 2-TD performances, those being against Rutgers and Washington State.
31. Dallas Cowboys [via GB] - Justice Haynes, RB, Michigan
Alabama transfer Justice Haynes has been a big part of Michigan's season this year, and he's made their running game extremely dangerous. Dallas needs to upgrade their running game if Javonte Williams leaves, and even if he doesn't that's not the long-term solution. Justice Haynes is a smaller back but plays with strength and balance that makes him an explosive runner. His change-of-direction skills are phenomenal, and he has the ability to make any play when needed. However, he doesn't have the same speed that a lot of top running back has, instead relying on great acceleration to give him the momentum he needs. He seems like a bit of a Quinshon Judkins-type with that lack of exceptional speed. Given how Judkins has played this season, getting a guy like this could be a good move for "America's Team". He's missed a game with injury this season, but in 6 games, Haynes has put up 95 carries for 705 yards and 8 TDs.
32. Indianapolis Colts - Keith Abney II, CB, Arizona State
With the final pick of the 1st round, Indianapolis looks to upgrade their secondary after injuries to Charvarius Ward and Justin Walley, alongside the surprise retirement of Xavien Howard. Arizona State corner Keith Abney II is a player who has a lot of potential and would be an intriguing fit in this Indianapolis defense. He's got great footwork and knows how the run the receivers routes for them, with his zone coverage awareness being his greatest strength. He's physical without creating the numerous pass interference penalties that plague some corners, and is really good in run support. His frame is a bit small, but he can process the game really well and has a ton of technique. He's also versatile, and he can fit into any scheme a defensive coordinator cooks up. Indianapolis needs to add more in that unit, and Abney is the best choice available in that group. Abney has put up 22 tackles, 1 pick, 1 forced fumble, and 7 pass deflections in 7 games in 2025.
And that's all for now! Sorry to the fans of teams that aren't in the first round. I will list a pick for you guys below so you don't feel let down, although I won't be adding a description.
2.36 Tampa Bay Buccaneers [via MIA] - T.J. Parker, EDGE, Clemson
2.45 Atlanta Falcons - Jake Slaughter, C, Florida
2.51 Jacksonville Jaguars - A'Mauri Washington, DT, Oregon
2.63 Green Bay Packers - D'Angelo Ponds, CB, Indiana
Also, I hope you've noticed the rebranding to the Landoman Experiment website. I've decided it's time for a new era of the site, and I'm excited to see where it goes. I have a lot of fun plans, so be prepared for some great articles coming soon!
Take care.
