2nd 2024 NFL Mock Draft

2024 NFL Mock Draft - 2nd Version

The 2024 NFL Draft is almost upon us! We know the order, we know what prospects will be going, and we (most likely) know who’s going number one. Even so, the 2024 NFL Draft is primed to be one of the most chaotic we’ve seen in recent memory. Potential trade ups for quarterbacks, uncertainty with defensive standouts, and a lot of depths makes this an exciting class. The future of every NFL team will be decided on April 25th - 27th in Detroit, and I am so excited.

Before we start, I’d like to dedicate this mock to the memory of Albany defensive end A.J. Simon. He was a prospect this year who unfortunately passed away a few days ago. I pray for peace and healing in his family, and I urge you to do the same. Rest in peace, A.J. Your memory will for sure be honored.

Let’s get started now.

ROUND ONE

1.1 Chicago Bears [via Carolina Panthers] - Caleb Williams | QB | USC

This one’s been obvious for a while now. Thanks to the blockbuster trade in 2023 that sent the 1st overall pick (Bryce Young) to the Carolina Panthers, the Chicago Bears now possess the top selection in the 2024 NFL Draft. Some wondered whether they would continue to build around Justin Fields and potentially trade down. Instead, Fields was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a conditional 6th, leaving a hole at the quarterback position. With the first pick, they make the clear choice in taking USC quarterback Caleb Williams, the 2023 Heisman winner who accounted for 120 total touchdowns in his 3-year college career. Drafting Williams will hopefully give the Bears the franchise quarterback they’ve lacked throughout their entire existence. I love Williams’ skill set, as he feels like a more polished version of Kyler Murray and has drawn some comparisons to Patrick Mahomes. His ceiling is sky-high, but I also feel like his floor isn’t particularly low. He’s walking into one of the best situations a #1 pick has had in recent memory, with star receivers in D.J. Moore and Keenan Allen, a rebuilt offensive line, and a decent defense to back him up.

1.2 Washington Commanders - Jayden Daniels | QB | LSU

Adam Schefter has reported that it seems that the Commanders are locked in on LSU’s Jayden Daniels at #2 overall. Daniels is a prospect I am quite intrigued by due to his skill set. He’s arguably the most dynamic dual threat in the draft, having put up over 2,000 combined rushing yards in his 2 seasons at LSU. The former Arizona State transfer broke out in a big way in 2023, accounting for 50 total touchdowns in 12 games on his way to a Heisman victory. He is an older prospect, having played 5 seasons, but it is near impossible to deny the talent he has. There are some concerns with his frame and tendency to take big hits, which is legitimate with players of his play style. Both Lamar Jackson and Anthony Richardson have dealt with injuries at the NFL level, and I would consider Daniels to be a similar player to both of them. I don’t think Daniels is as raw as Richardson was coming out, and I think he will start right away in Washington. Surrounding him with talent will have to be a priority for Washington, so I’m interested to see how Josh Harris plays this.

1.3 New England Patriots - J.J. McCarthy | QB | Michigan

This is where the fun begins. The rising hype of Michigan QB J.J. McCarthy is quite interesting to me, given how pedestrian his statistics at Michigan were. Obviously that’s not why teams are in on J.J, however. He’s accurate, he’s a winner, and he’s got the athletic tools to develop into a great quarterback. It’s a new era in New England, so they need a new quarterback to go with it. The Mac Jones experiment started off well, but ran itself into the ground after he was unable to produce with Matt Patricia, Joe Judge, and Bill O’Brien as his offensive coordinators. New coach Jerod Mayo should start his saga with the Patriots by selecting a potential franchise quarterback. Rumor is that the Patriots are targeting Jayden Daniels, but McCarthy could be the backup plan if Daniels is not available. He’s got a good arm and has shown ability to put incredible touch on his throws, with his best being a needle-threading touchdown to Roman Wilson in the victory against Ohio State. If New England can unlock his potential, they could have their next guy.

1.4 Arizona Cardinals - Marvin Harrison Jr. | WR | Ohio State

This is another pick that feels like a lock, even if that’s not necessarily the case. Arizona visited with Harrison at the combine and he was one of their Top 30 visits, so they definitely seem to be in on the Ohio State product. The son of NFL Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison, “Maserati Marv” has carved a unique identity in his own right. With how much of a wide receiver factory Ohio State has been over the past several years, Harrison may be the best of them. He has the ability to make circus catches on a regular basis, including a physics-defying grab against Indiana in 2022 that made him seem like a contortionist. He had over 1,200 yards and 14 touchdowns in both of the past two seasons, showing himself to be the best receiver in the country while winning the Biletnikoff Award in 2023. Harrison would be the immediate number 1 receiver in Phoenix and should form a good rapport with Kyler Murray. After drafting Harrison’s teammate Paris Johnson last year, the Cardinals are doing everything they can to give Murray the chance to succeed. Hopefully they do the same by drafting Marvin Harrison Jr.

1.5 Minnesota Vikings [via Los Angeles Chargers] - Drake Maye | QB | North Carolina

TRADE: The Minnesota Vikings trade picks 11, 23 & a 2025 3rd to the Los Angeles Chargers for pick 5

The Vikings lost Kirk Cousins this offseason, leaving a gaping hole at the quarterback position (apart from Sam Darnold). It seems that they’re pretty desperate to trade up for a quarterback, noting how they moved up from the 2nd round to acquire pick 23 from the Houston Texans. Because of this, I project that they will attempt to move that pick, along with their own first, to jump up for a quarterback. The rumor is that they are enamored with North Carolina’s Drake Maye, who was the consensus 2nd-best quarterback in the draft for the longest time before Jayden Daniels and (potentially) J.J. McCarthy came along. I love Drake Maye as a prospect, and I think he should go higher than this, but I have a feeling he may fall to number 3 or even number 5 when the time comes. Part of this is due to his below-average footwork and regression this past season. I still think he shows shades of Justin Herbert with his rocket arm and surprising mobility, so Vikings fans will be very happy if Maye is the selection.

1.6 New York Giants - Malik Nabers | WR | LSU

It’s going to be nearly impossible for the Giants to move off QB Daniel Jones this season with the poorly-aged $160,000,000 contract they gave him. The best thing they can do is at least give him weapons to succeed if he comes back to form. Malik Nabers is argued by some to be the best receiver in the draft and, while I don’t agree, he has the potential to be a top 5 selection. I’d argue that Nabers was worthy of a Biletnikoff selection this past season, but he was snubbed for Marvin Harrison Jr. despite outgaining him in yards. Nabers put up 1,569 yards this past season while helping Jayden Daniels in an elite LSU offense. He’d be the immediate WR1 in New York, joining a group that has young Day 2 picks in Wan’Dale Robinson and Jalin Hyatt. There are some concerns about Nabers’ ability to thrive in a large market, but I don’t think those will be an issue. I love his yards-after-catch ability and his versatility within an offense. Daniel Jones (or Drew Lock) is going to love this selection.

1.7 Tennessee Titans - Joe Alt | OT | Notre Dame

Brian Callahan pulled off one of the best moves of this offseason by convincing his father, star offensive line coach Bill Callahan, to come with him to Tennessee. Why not give him an early Father’s Day present by drafting the top offensive lineman in the class? Joe Alt is an absolute beast. He’s tall, athletic, and strong. He’s also the 2nd prospect on this list to be the son of an NFL star with his dad being Pro Bowl Chiefs tackle John Alt. And, just like his father, Alt is going to be a first round pick. For Tennessee, Alt would start right away at left tackle as the replacement for Andre Dillard, who struggled this past season. Protecting Will Levis has to be the priority for the Titans, as their offensive line has consistently been disappointing. Putting Joe Alt next to 2023 1st-rounder Peter Skoronski would immediately solidify the left side of the offensive line and hopefully gives Levis the chance to prove himself as a franchise quarterback.

1.8 Atlanta Falcons - Dallas Turner | EDGE | Alabama

Atlanta spent a lot of money on their offense this offseason, bringing in new faces in QB Kirk Cousins, WR Darnell Mooney, WR Rondale Moore, and TE Charlie Woerner. In the draft, I expect them to focus on defense, as that is head coach Raheem Morris’ background. Ever since Vic Beasley’s one-year-wonder season in 2017, the Falcons haven’t had a pass-rusher hit double-digit sacks. That’s where Alabama’s Dallas Turner comes in. Turner is an athletic speed rusher who put up excellent numbers at the combine and shows excellent potential at the next level. He’s a bit more raw than his teammate from last year’s class, Will Anderson Jr., but still shows the ability to be a top-ten pick. Atlanta saw some production from Arnold Ebiketie this past season as he put up 6 sacks (3rd on the team), and now they add Turner to a front that also includes Zach Harrison and Lorenzo Carter.

1.9 Chicago Bears - Rome Odunze | WR | Washington

The Chicago Bears don’t have a lot of draft capital, but I have no doubt in my mind that they would take Rome Odunze at 9 if he was available. Odunze is the last of the big 3 receivers in this class, and he’s one of my favorite players in this class. He’s not the fastest receiver in the class but makes up for it with his outstanding ball skills and separation ability. I’ve seen him draw comparisons to former Cardinals wideouts Larry Fitzgerald and DeAndre Hopkins, which is immensely high praise. For Chicago specifically, Odunze would get the chance to learn from experienced veterans in D.J. Moore and Keenan Allen to start out as the WR3. This would give Chicago arguably the best wide receiver room in the NFL, which would be a huge boost for Caleb Williams’ confidence. I would absolutely love this fit for Chicago.

1.10 New York Jets - Brock Bowers | TE | Georgia

With the signing of experienced left tackle Tyron Smith, it seems the Jets don’t feel that they have to draft a lineman at #10. While it would be a good idea considering Smith’s injury history, they decide instead to get a playmaker to help out Aaron Rodgers. That playmaker is the 2-time Mackey Award winner himself, Brock Bowers. Bowers may be the overall best player in this class, but he lands right in the lap of New York due to positional value. New York expects Aaron Rodgers to be their savior, and if that’s going to be the case, he needs all the help he can get. Bowers has great yards-after-catch ability and seems to always make a clutch play when his team needs it most. Adding him in with Tyler Conklin would give New York the ability to go into 2-TE sets more often, as well. This is an excellent value pick and one that I see the Jets making.

1.11 Los Angeles Chargers [via Minnesota Vikings] - Taliese Fuaga | OT | Oregon State

I know the Chargers desperately need a wide receiver, but there aren’t any worth taking at this point. So, I’ve opted to go a different direction. I’ve heard multiple Chargers personnel discussing how everything is focused on the offensive line, so I think they address that here. Specifically, the right tackle position is an area of need as Trey Pipkins has been disappointing throughout his career. Fuaga is a true right tackle and he is a great pass protector, something Justin Herbert desperately needs. He’s a fluid athlete who has excellent hand-work. Some worry about his reaction speed at the NFL level, but I still see a guy who can be a solid starting right tackle from day one. Winning football games starts in the trenches, and grabbing a guy like Fuaga would be an excellent start to bringing the Chargers back to relevance.

1.12 Denver Broncos - Michael Penix Jr. | QB | Washington

We may have to consider the idea that Denver reaches for a quarterback in this spot. Denver doesn’t have anything on the roster apart from Jarrett Stidham, and I don’t love the idea of them going into the 2024 season with Stidham as the starter. I do think teams will like Michael Penix Jr. a lot, however. I saw that both the Commanders and Patriots brought him in on visits, which signifies to me that he’s at least being considered by first-round teams. Despite his advanced age at 24, I do think Penix is a pro-ready prospect with a good amount of upset. His game against Texas felt similar to C.J. Stroud’s game against Georgia as he was able to completely torch an excellent Longhorns defense. He’s a ball placement specialist who also does not get sacked often (although that may have been due to the quality of his O-line at Washington). There are legitimate concerns about his injury history, having succumbed to multiple torn ACLs while at Indiana. If he overcomes them, though, he could be a good NFL quarterback.

1.13 Las Vegas Raiders - Quinyon Mitchell | CB | Toledo

There are two spots I can see the Raiders going in this spot - right tackle and outside corner. With the top right tackle prospect off the board, the Raiders turn to the outside corner position. Quinyon Mitchell is one of the best athletes in the class, putting up a 4.33 40-yard dash time at the combine while posting a 10”2’ broad jump. Mitchell has been a lockdown corner for the Rockets throughout his career, even performing well against Marvin Harrison Jr. during their matchup with Ohio State in 2022. With their lack of a starting quality outside corner to go next to Nate Hobbs. He’s a rawer prospect than some of the other corners in this class, but I think his athletic prowess and upside will allow him to be the first corner off the board. Improving the secondary is a must in a division with top-flight quarterbacks like Justin Herbert and Patrick Mahomes.

1.14 New Orleans Saints - Olumuyiwa Fashanu | OT | Penn State

Drafting an offensive lineman has to be a priority for the Saints considering the uncertainty with Ryan Ramcyzk’s injury and Trevor Penning’s lack of development. Olu Fashanu is a guy I can see being an immediate starter at left tackle due to his pass-blocking ability. He’s slightly inconsistent in the run game, but he does have a ton of potential. He was seen as the top tackle in this class by some for a slight bit before being passed in the consensus by Joe Alt. For New Orleans, I think Fashanu would be excellent value because of his upside. He’s a prototypical left tackle who went up against elite edge rushers Chop Robinson and Adisa Isaac in practice, so he has had good experience against pass rushers. He struggled against J.T. Tuimoloau in 2023 but was very good overall in his Penn State career. He could be the blind-side tackle in New Orleans for the next decade if he hits his upside.

1.15 Indianapolis Colts - Terrion Arnold | CB | Alabama

Indianapolis needs to bring in another corner next to 2023 2nd-round pick Julius Brents. Terrion Arnold is the best corner on the board and would be an excellent selection for the Colts. Arnold isn’t as fast as Quinyon Mitchell but played against better competition and possesses great competitiveness and ball skills. In a division that has standout wideouts in Tank Dell, Stefon Diggs, Nico Collins, DeAndre Hopkins, Calvin Ridley, and Christian Kirk, the Colts need to have as good of a secondary as possible. Arnold helped lead the best corner duo in the country this past season with teammate Kool-Aid McKinstry, and the Colts are getting themselves a good one here.

1.16 Buffalo Bills [via Seattle Seahawks] - Brian Thomas Jr. | WR | LSU

TRADE: The Buffalo Bills trade picks 28 and 60 to the Seattle Seahawks for pick 16

After trading away star wideout Stefon Diggs, the Bills are going to be desperate to find another player for Josh Allen to throw to. Brian Thomas Jr. has been compared to former Bills wide receiver Gabriel Davis, who just left for the Jacksonville Jaguars, so he’d fill right in as a replacement. Thomas is a great route runner with elite speed and traits to be a top wideout for the team. He’s not the most physical receiver, but his ability is there. For a QB with arm talent like Josh Allen, having a reliable deep threat is a must, and Thomas could be that for the Bills. Thomas was part of the most productive WR duo in the country with Malik Nabers, and led the country with 17 receiving touchdowns. After his combine, he should be a lock to become a first-round selection.

1.17 Tampa Bay Buccaneers [via Jacksonville Jaguars] - Jared Verse | EDGE | Florida State

TRADE: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers trade picks 26 and 89 to the Jacksonville Jaguars for pick 17

With a need on the edge with the loss of Shaquill Barrett, the Buccaneers trade up for the local product in Florida State’s Jared Verse. Verse, a former transfer from Albany, has been absolutely dominant for the Seminoles in his two seasons there, leading the charge for a defense that went undefeated in the 2023 regular season and was arguably one of the best in the country. He put up 9 sacks in each of his two seasons at FSU and projects to be an athletic, explosive edge rusher at the NFL level. I think he’d pair well with 2023 draft picks Calijah Kancey and YaYa Diaby on the defensive line. Tampa Bay’s defense was heavily important to winning Super Bowl LV, so rebuilding that should be a priority.

1.18 Cincinnati Bengals - J.C. Latham | OT | Alabama

Despite signing former New England Patriots tackle Trent Brown to a contract, I still think the Bengals will want to address the right tackle position in the long-term. J.C. Latham fits what the Bengals like at the offensive line with his humongous size. Considering that both tackles the Bengals currently have are the biggest in the league, it makes sense that a tackle they draft would fit similar size thresholds. Latham is also a very capable blocker, with good quickness and handiwork. I think he could be an immediate starting tackle if a team drafts him, but having him develop for a year could be a good choice, as well. If the Bengals wanted to they could start him at left guard for a season before moving him to right tackle. There are rumors he could go higher than this, so it’s a good value pick for the team here.

1.19 Los Angeles Rams - Byron Murphy | DT | Texas

What do you do when the best defensive tackle of all time abruptly retires in his prime? Go to the draft and try to find a replacement, of course! While I doubt Murphy reaches the heights Aaron Donald reached in his career, I do think he has the potential to be the best pass-rushing defensive tackle in this class. Murphy was an absolute force for the Longhorns this past season, putting up 5 sacks and 8.5 TFLs. I think he could be successful as both a run-stuffer and a pass-rusher, which the Rams could use next to Kobie Turner on the interior. With their track record at drafting, I expect whoever Les Snead and Sean McVay select here will be an immediate impact player. I would love the Byron Murphy fit for the Rams.

1.20 Pittsburgh Steelers - Graham Barton | C | Duke

Pittsburgh currently has a gaping hole at the center position after Mason Cole left the team. There has been speculation that Barton could be the pick at 20, and I think it would be an excellent fit. Barton is a versatile player who started at multiple positions throughout his career at Duke. While he mostly played tackle, many see him as a guard or even a center, which prompts the Steelers to select him here. Barton is a pretty athletic lineman who possesses good technique no matter which position he plays. After drafting Broderick Jones last year, the Steelers seem to be prioritizing the trenches. Barton would be a great player to pick if they want to continue to do that.

1.21 Miami Dolphins - Laiatu Latu | EDGE | UCLA

Laiatu Latu has been one of the best pass rushers in college football over the past couple of seasons. He put up 23.5 sacks over that timeframe, establishing himself as a force in the Pac-12. The only issue is his medical history. He was forced to medically retire due to a neck injury he suffered in his time at Washington. If they aren’t scared by his medicals, it seems like the Dolphins are very interested in Latu. With both Bradley Chubb and Jaelan Phillips suffering injuries, it’d be a good move to bring in more pass rushers to help while they continue to recover. Latu fits Miami’s scheme well as an outside linebacker and has excellent technique and strength. If the trio of Latu, Phillips, and Chubb can play to their potential, they will be a force in the AFC East.

1.22 Philadelphia Eagles - Cooper DeJean | CB | Iowa

This is probably the lowest I could see Cooper DeJean falling. While he did suffer a broken fibula that kept him out for a lot of the year, I still think someone will fall in love with his skill-set as a nickel corner/safety hybrid. He is excellent in zone coverage and possesses great ball skills. One of his best moments this year was a punt return touchdown that was called back due to an illegal fair catch signal, which showcased his ability to be a punt returner well in my opinion. I doubt the Eagles would use him for that since they have Britain Covey, but if there’s an injury he could fill in. Overall, the Eagles need to grab more corner help as veterans Darius Slay and James Bradberry are aging, so it would be wise to prepare for the future.

1.23 San Francisco 49ers [from Cleveland Browns via Houston Texans, Minnesota Vikings, and Los Angeles Chargers] - Amarius Mims | OT | Georgia

TRADE: The San Francisco 49ers trade picks 31, 94, and 135 to the Los Angeles Chargers for pick 23

After having already traded back once, the Chargers do so again to pick up some extra draft capital. As for the Niners, well they jump Dallas to get one of the last remaining top linemen in the draft in Amarius Mims. Mims is an undoubtedly talented prospect but doesn’t have a lot of experience due to injury and being behind both Broderick Jones and Jamaree Salyer in 2021. He’s arguably the most athletic tackle in the class outside of Joe Alt and possess traits you want out of a top tackle prospect. He would be the immediate starter at right tackle in my opinion, which is an upgrade the Niners need to at least consider making in the draft.

1.24 Dallas Cowboys - Troy Fautanu | OT | Washington

There’s something about the name Troy that just makes you think “Cowboys”, isn’t there? Luckily for them, there’s a prospect who both has that name AND fits what they need. Troy Fautanu will likely go earlier than this, as I would consider this spot his floor. It’d be a good spot, though, as he could start at either left guard or left tackle depending on what the team needs to do with 2022 1st-rounder Tyler Smith, who has had an excellent start to his career. Fautanu was part of an offensive line at Washington that won the Joe Moore Award, and he was easily the best player on that line all season. When I mentioned earlier that Michael Penix didn’t take many sacks, guys like Fautanu and fellow draft prospect Roger Rosengarten were the reason why. After losing Tyron Smith, Dallas gets themselves a potential successor here.

1.25 Arizona Cardinals [via Green Bay Packers] - Kool-Aid McKinstry | CB | Alabama

TRADE: The Arizona Cardinals trade picks 27 and 71 to the Packers for picks 25 and 88

Arizona jumps Jacksonville to get the best corner remaining on the board. The Cardinals don’t really have any quality corners outside of Garrett Williams and Sean Murphy-Bunting, so they need to get themselves someone in the draft. With the capital they have, I could see the Cardinals being aggressive and moving up to try and get their guy. Ja’Quincy “Kool-Aid” McKinstry was seen as a potential top 10 pick early in this process and still flashed that potential at moments during the 2023 season. He wasn’t targeted much, but that’s a testament to how much of a lockdown he was. Bringing him in would give Arizona extra help at the corner position with high upside. I would love this selection if I’m a Cardinals fan.

1.26 Jacksonville Jaguars [via Tampa Bay Buccaneers] - Nate Wiggins | CB | Clemson

While I have Kool-Aid going earlier, there’s an argument to be made that Nate Wiggins would be a better selection. The Jaguars lost Darious Williams this offseason and need to bring in a guy at the corner position. Wiggins is the last 1st round-level corner in my opinion, so grabbing him here would be exciting for the Jaguars. He ran a 4.28 40-yard dash and possesses the explosive speed necessary to succeed as a corner in the NFL. There are some concerns about his frame that I think could drop him, but we did see Emmanuel Forbes go in the top half of the 1st last year, so that may not be an issue for teams. Still, adding Wiggins in next to Tyson Campbell would immediately improve the secondary in Duvall.

1.27 Green Bay Packers [from Houston Texans via Arizona Cardinals] - Edgerrin Cooper | LB | Texas A&M

This may be somewhat of a surprise selection, as Cooper isn’t projected by most to go until the 2nd round. However, the Packers are known for making somewhat shocking picks (see Lukas Van Ness and Quay Walker as examples), so I could see them taking Cooper here. With the loss of De’Vondre Campbell this offseason, it would be wise for the Packers to find a replacement. I love Cooper as a prospect and think he’s the best inside linebacker in the class, so don’t be surprised if a team grabs him much earlier than anticipated. He plays well in zone coverage but also functions as a blitzer if needed. I think he would pair exceptionally well with Quay Walker in the Green Bay defense.

1.28 Seattle Seahawks [via Buffalo Bills] - Jackson Powers-Johnson | C | Oregon

Seattle fills the void at center by drafting this past season’s Rimington Award winner, who won’t have to move too far away from Eugene. He’s a smart prospect and was the main component of a great Oregon offensive line in 2023. He is relatively raw, as 2023 was his first season as a full-time starter, but he definitely shows the ability to be a good center or guard at the NFL level. With Laken Tomlinson only on a 1-year deal, I expect the Seahawks will be looking to bring someone in on the interior in this class, whether it be with this pick or any of the following picks they have. He isn’t the greatest athlete compared to fellow center prospect Graham Barton, but he still shows consistency and discipline. He would be the immediate starter at center in Seattle in my opinion.

1.29 Detroit Lions - Johnny Newton | DT | Illinois

The Big Ten’s Defensive Player of the Year stays in Big Ten country as he is selected by the Detroit Lions. Newton has the potential to be a dominant interior rusher at the NFL level, which is what Detroit needs next to D.J. Reader and Alim McNeill. He’s an explosive pass rusher with good technique and flexibility, as he has shown versatility among the defensive line. He did suffer a Jones fracture in 2023, which he played through, but that should be fully taken care of by the time training camp rolls around. Adding Newton would bring a lot of upside to Detroit’s pass rush, which could be one of the NFL’s best in 2024.

1.30 Baltimore Ravens - Tyler Guyton | OT | Oklahoma

After trading Morgan Moses to New York, the Ravens could be looking to bring in a new face on the offensive line. Oklahoma’s Tyler Guyton is the most raw of the 1st round tackles in my opinion, but he has the potential to develop into an excellent starter. Guyton is a large tackle in the vein of one the Ravens selected a few years ago in Orlando Brown Jr., who also played at Oklahoma. Guyton has started at right tackle throughout his Oklahoma career, although he’s technically been a blind-side blocker due to Dillon Gabriel’s left-handedness. He’s still very raw, considering he only started 14 games in his career, but he does have traits the Ravens would love in a right tackle.

1.31 Los Angeles Chargers [via San Francisco 49ers] - Adonai Mitchell | WR | Texas

After longtime Chargers fan-favorites Mike Williams and Keenan Allen were cut and traded, respectively, the Bolts need to fill the hole at wideout. Luckily, this class is very deep at the wide receiver position, and they get a 1st round-level guy in Mitchell here. Mitchell is an excellent route runner who has good speed and catch radius. The former Georgia transfer is a proven winner, having won two national championships with the Bulldogs before becoming a Big 12 Champion in Austin. He’d join 2023 1st-rounder Quentin Johnston and 2021 3rd-rounder Josh Palmer in the receiving room, and should hopefully become one of Herbert’s favorite targets very quickly.

1.32 Kansas City Chiefs - Xavier Worthy | WR | Texas

Remember when the Chiefs had a guy named Tyreek Hill? How he was the fastest player in the NFL for them? Well, here’s the guy who just broke John Ross’ combine record. He’s not just a speed demon, he’s also a great route runner and possesses great yard after catch ability. With the uncertainty regarding Rashee Rice’s legal situation, it’d be smart for the Chiefs to bring in another wide receiver to go next to Hollywood Brown. Worthy has a small frame and below average contested catch ability, but his ball tracking skills are tremendous. I think Worthy could go much higher than this, but I don’t see him falling past Kansas City if they have the opportunity to select him.

ROUND TWO

2.33 Washington Commanders [via Carolina Panthers] - Jordan Morgan | OT | Arizona

TRADE: The Washington Commanders trade picks 36 and 100 to the Panthers for picks 33 and 142

Washington jumps New England to get their left tackle of the future in Arizona’s Jordan Morgan. Rumor is that the Commanders are very interested in Morgan, which would be very helpful for Jayden Daniels, who they selected earlier. I’m a big fan of Morgan’s talents and think he has good upside. Many project him as a guard, but he’s got the talents to be a good left tackle if developed correctly.

2.34 New England Patriots - Roman Wilson | WR | Michigan

The Patriots do their new franchise quarterback a favor by reuniting him with his top target at Michigan, Roman Wilson. He’s a great athlete who does well at making separation. He’s also a great route runner, having been compared to current New Orleans Saint Chris Olave, who fills a similar role in that offense. The connection between McCarthy and Wilson should be enough to create a dynamic duo in Foxborough.

2.35 Arizona Cardinals - Chop Robinson | EDGE | Penn State

Arizona needs to grab more help on the defensive line. Having spent a 2nd on LSU edge rusher B.J. Ojulari last year, they do something similar this year by grabbing an athletic freak with great potential. Demeioun “Chop” Robinson has explosiveness but needs to work on his technique. Jonathan Gannon has experience working with star pass rushers, so I trust that he could help develop Chop into a stud.

2.36 Carolina Panthers [via Washington Commanders] - Xavier Legette | WR | South Carolina

Xavier Legette is a prospect I really like, so Carolina taking him here would be an excellent pick. He has good size and possesses decent athleticism at that size. He makes good separation and his run-after-catch skills are top-notch. Pairing him with Diontae Johnson and Jonathan Mingo should be helpful for Bryce Young, who Carolina is still hoping can develop into a top-level quarterback. Here’s to hoping year 2 goes better for him.

2.37 Los Angeles Chargers - Darius Robinson | EDGE | Missouri

While Robinson is consistently listed as an edge rusher, he would be more of a 3-tech in this scheme. Darius Robinson has been pretty versatile for the Tigers, playing at both EDGE and DT. Los Angeles needs an interior defensive end, and Robinson is the best available to fit that role. He still needs to develop his moves, but the power and motor are there for development. Hopefully Jim Harbaugh can do that.

2.38 Las Vegas Raiders [via Tennessee Titans] - Bo Nix | QB | Oregon

TRADE: The Las Vegas Raiders trade picks 44 and 112 plus a 2025 6th to the Titans for pick 38

Antonio Pierce seems to want to get himself a new quarterback. He wants a quarterback who can run, and while that’s not Nix’s specialty, he does have that capability. Nix was a beneficiary of Oregon’s scheme, which allowed him to complete a whopping 77.4% of his passes while leading Oregon to a 12-2 season. Nix is an experienced quarterback who could learn behind Gardner Minshew before eventually taking over.

2.39 Carolina Panthers [via New York Giants] - Mike Sainristil | CB | Michigan

The Panthers need to bring in more defensive help. While an edge rusher may be ideal, they opt instead to grab a nickel corner to go alongside outside CBs Jaycee Horn and Dane Jackson. Sainristil is one of my favorite players in the class, and the rumor is that the Panthers are greatly interested in him. This might be slightly high for him, but having an excellent nickel is vital to defensive success, so it could be a worthwhile selection.

2.40 Washington Commanders [via Chicago Bears] - Ladd McConkey | WR | Georgia

After drafting a left tackle earlier in the round, the Commanders give Jayden Daniels more help by bringing in an experienced SEC talent at WR. Ladd McConkey suffered a back injury this past season, but has athletic ability and route running prowess to succeed at the NFL level. He’d be a good third receiver in the offense and would give Jayden a much greater chance of success.

2.41 Green Bay Packers [via New York Jets] - Max Melton | CB | Rutgers

Green Bay highly values athletic prowess at their draft picks, and Max Melton has one of the higher Relative Athletic Scores in the class at 9.06, so he seems like a good fit here. Considering his brother, Bo Melton, is also on the Packers, I could definitely see this being the pick here. He’s improved every year at Rutgers and would be a good CB3 behind Jaire Alexander and Eric Stokes.

2.42 Houston Texans [via Minnesota Vikings] - Michael Hall Jr. | DT | Ohio State

After trading away Maliek Collins and losing Sheldon Rankins, the Texans need to add more depth at the defensive tackle position. Michael Hall didn’t put up much production at Ohio State but displays some athletic potential. He’s undersized but his pure strength and arm technique are good enough to succeed at the NFL level. I could see him going a lot higher than many expect.

2.43 Atlanta Falcons - Khyree Jackson | CB | Oregon

While they currently have a star corner in A.J. Terrell, the Falcons would be wise to bring in more secondary help. Khyree Jackson is an athletic corner with good physicality. He plays very well in the run game and has excellent size and strength for the position. He plays well in contested catches and would be an excellent fit next to Terrell and Clark Phillips. Expect Atlanta to target a corner this draft, and don’t be surprised if it’s Jackson.

2.44 Tennessee Titans [via Las Vegas Raiders] - Chris Braswell | EDGE | Alabama

Harold Landry was the only current Titan to hit double-digit sacks last season with the departure of Denico Autry. The Titans should get another edge rusher to go next to Landry on the defensive line. Braswell put up good athletic numbers at the combine and fits well as an outside linebacker in a 3-4. Developing behind Harold Landry and Arden Key makes sense before he becomes a full time starter.

2.45 New Orleans Saints - Keon Coleman | WR | Florida State

New Orleans needs to add more WR help next to Chris Olave, so grabbing a jump ball specialist would be helpful. Coleman isn’t the most athletic of the receivers, but his strength and vertical ability are pretty good. He’s been compared to Atlanta Falcons receiver Drake London, and while his upside isn’t as high as London’s, he could still be a good player to have for the Saints.

2.46 Indianapolis Colts - Marshawn Kneeland | EDGE | Western Michigan

I could see the Colts targeting an edge rusher early in the draft, and that includes at pick 15. However, they grab a guy here with the potential to develop into a good starter. He’s got good strength and makes strong rushes toward the passer when given the chance, but he still needs to develop his technique. With both Kwity Paye and Dayo Odeyingbo going into the last year of their deals, it would be a good move for Indy to address the D-line.

2.47 Los Angeles Rams [from Seattle Seahawks via New York Giants] - Kingsley Suamataia | OT | BYU

TRADE: The Los Angeles Rams trade picks 52, 99 and 196 to the Giants for picks 47 and 183

The Rams addressed their interior offensive line heavily over the past year with drafting Steve Avila, signing Jonah Jackson, and trading for/extending Kevin Dotson. Now, they address the offensive line by using some of their draft capital to secure a guy who could go a lot earlier than this. Kingsley Suamataia, the cousin of Detroit’s Penei Sewell, is an experienced tackle with good size and ability. He could develop into a solid starting tackle at the NFL level.

2.48 Jacksonville Jaguars - Ricky Pearsall | WR | Florida

After Calvin Ridley left for the division rival Tennessee Titans, the Jaguars need to grab another wide receiver. Pearsall has pretty good athletic ability and has good route-running ability. He’s also a somewhat local product, coming from Florida. He needs to develop his physicality, but his speed and agility will be solid enough to, hopefully, develop him into an NFL starter.

2.49 Cincinnati Bengals - Ruke Orhorhoro | DT | Clemson

The Bengals need to continue to add depth at the defensive tackle position. Ruke Orhorhoro has good run-blocking skills, which is something the Bengals absolutely need after losing D.J. Reader. Rankins and B.J. Hill could help him develop his pass-rushing skill, as well. He needs to learn how to develop good handiwork, but he definitely has a lot of potential with his athleticism and ability.

2.50 Philadelphia Eagles [via New Orleans Saints] - Payton Wilson | LB | NC State

The Eagles need to add more help at coverage linebacker next to Nakobe Dean and Devin White. Payton Wilson would likely go a lot higher than this if it weren’t for his slightly concerning injury history. The Bednarik and Butkus Award winner put up one of the most impressive seasons of anybody in college football this past year, and his potential could be intriguing for Philly brass, who select him here.

2.51 Pittsburgh Steelers - Troy Franklin | WR | Oregon

Adding a wide receiver will likely be a priority for the Steelers after trading away Diontae Johnson. Troy Franklin could go much higher than this, but there are a ton of wide receivers who will go in the early 2nd. Franklin has good body control and is an excellent receiver between the numbers. He could hopefully develop a rapport with Russell Wilson and develop into a stud receiver.

2.52 New York Giants [via Los Angeles Rams] - Ennis Rakestraw Jr. | CB | Missouri

The Giants currently have Nick McCloud listed as a starting corner. No disrespect to the guy, but I don’t even think I know who that is. Rakestraw didn’t put up insane numbers at the combine or anything, but he’s a physical corner who has good anticipation. After drafting Deonte Banks last year, it’s clear that the Giants are wanting to reboot at the corner position. Rakestraw would be an excellent value pick here.

2.53 Houston Texans [via Philadelphia Eagles] - Kamari Lassiter | CB | Georgia

TRADE: The Houston Texans send picks 59 and 127 to the Eagles for pick 53

Noticing that there aren’t many great options on the board at corner, the Texans decide to be proactive and trade up to get a complement to Derek Stingley. Lassiter plays well in zone and is a good tackler. Some worry that he is undersized, but I think his smoothness speaks for itself. Houston would love to get themselves another defensive back to build depth in the secondary.

2.54 Cleveland Browns - Junior Colson | LB | Michigan

The Browns signed Devin Bush, but they still need to bring in more talent at the linebacker position. Colson is a good coverage player and is an excellent tackler. In a division with talent at the wide receiver and tight end positions, the Browns need all the help they can get to prevent broken tackles, which is one of Colson’s specialties. I love this fit, and I think Cleveland fans will love it, too.

2.55 Miami Dolphins - Christian Haynes | OG | Connecticut

Miami still has a hole at the right guard position, so they fill that here. Christian Haynes is an experienced starter who possesses good strength. He doesn’t have elite technical skills but is a capable pass protector. Haynes would be the final piece of a revamped offensive line that now includes center Aaron Brewer and left guard Isaiah Wynn. Protecting Tua from injury needs to be a priority, and Haynes could hopefully help do that.

2.56 Dallas Cowboys - Zach Frazier | C | West Virginia

After addressing a hole on the left side of the line at pick 24, the Cowboys address the center position here. Tyler Biadasz followed Dan Quinn over to the Commanders, leaving a gaping hole at the position. Frazier’s arm length isn’t ideal, but his strength and intelligence are top-notch. He’s an experienced lineman who started for 4 years, playing both left guard and center. Most of his starts were at center, which he’ll play in the NFL.

2.57 Tampa Bay Buccaneers - T.J. Tampa | CB | Iowa State

I can assure you this was not done on purpose, as I legitimately think T.J. Tampa would be a good fit in his namesake. After trading away Carlton Davis, the Buccaneers should look to add younger talent at the corner position. Tampa has good length and is a physical coverage corner who I think could pair well with Jamel Dean and Zyon McCollum.

2.58 Green Bay Packers - Cooper Beebe | OG | Kansas State

Green Bay strikes me as a team who wants to bring in more talent on the offensive line, as they have done an excellent job developing players. I still think they could use more help at right guard, as Sean Rhyan hasn’t lived up to expectations. He’s been compared to Kevin Zeitler, who’s been a strong starting guard in the league for a long time. I think adding Beebe could be a good move for the Packers.

2.59 Philadelphia Eagles [via Houston Texans] - Jaden Hicks | S | Washington State

While Tyler Nubin has been the consensus top safety for a while, his lack of elite athleticism could see him drop. Jaden Hicks, on the other hand, has seen his stock rise tremendously. They did just sign C.J. Gardner-Johnson back, but I have a feeling Philly still wants to bring in someone at the position alongside him and 2023 3rd-rounder Sydney Brown. Hicks is a guy I think could succeed in that system.

2.60 Seattle Seahawks [via Buffalo Bills] - Adisa Isaac | EDGE | Penn State

The 2nd half of the dynamic Penn State pass rush duo goes to a team in the same division as Chop in the Seahawks. Isaac isn’t the athletic freak that Chop is but still has good quickness and play recognition. Seattle needs more pass-rush help, and this would be the third year in a row they’ve taken an edge rusher in the 2nd. Isaac feels like he would be a good fit in that defensive system.

2.61 Detroit Lions - Andru Phillips | CB | Kentucky

Andru Phillips is another athletic corner I could see rising up draft boards between now and the day of the draft. He put up an 8.89 RAS and, while his speed isn’t spectacular, his explosion is. He’s mostly played zone coverage throughout his career but has the potential to play in man coverage if needed. He needs to work on his tackling a bit, but he definitely has potential.

2.62 Baltimore Ravens - Braden Fiske | DT | Florida State

While they did just sign Justin Madubuike to a massive contract, they still need more help on the interior pass rush. Braden Fiske was a transfer from Western Michigan who broke out with the Seminoles this past season. He’s got good quickness and shows promise as a pass-rusher. His size isn’t the most intimidating, but he has good athleticism for the position and would be an excellent fit in Baltimore.

2.63 San Francisco 49ers - Malachi Corley | WR | Western Kentucky

With all of the Brandon Aiyuk rumors swirling around, the 49ers should consider adding another wideout to the group. Malachi Corley has been compared to Deebo Samuel and it’s not hard to see why. He’s a versatile threat who breaks tackles and uses his yard-after-catch ability to make plays. It’d be an excellent move for the 49ers to draft him considering his pro comparisons are the aforementioned Samuel and Aiyuk.

2.64 Kansas City Chiefs - Renardo Green | CB | Florida State

After trading away star corner L’Jarius Sneed, I expect the Chiefs to try and find another DB to go next to Trent McDuffie. Green was another piece of an outstanding Florida State defense and was the standout corner. He maintains excellent body control and is physical. He played well against LSU’s receivers in 2023 and has seen his stock rise tremendously.

ROUND THREE

3.65 Carolina Panthers - Jonah Elliss | EDGE | Utah

After trading away star edge rusher Brian Burns, the Panthers will be looking for someone to fill the void. Elliss has below average size but put up excellent explosiveness and agility numbers at his pro day. Perhaps he and Jadeveon Clowney could form a good duo.

3.66 Arizona Cardinals - Jonathon Brooks | RB | Texas

The Cardinals kick off the draft for running backs by selecting Jonathon Brooks, who is still recovering from a torn ACL. James Conner has been a fine back in the desert, but the Cardinals need to get younger at the position. He’s still got a lot of potential due to his agility and lack of touches as a Longhorn.

3.67 Washington Commanders - Ja’Tavion Sanders | TE | Texas

Another Longhorn comes off the board as the Commanders find their future successor to Zach Ertz. Sanders was seen as a potential late first-rounder early in the process but falls to the 3rd here. He was recently hosted by the Commanders on a top 30 visit so I think he would be a good fit here.

3.68 New England Patriots - Kiran Amegadjie | OT | Yale

With the loss of Trent Brown, the Patriots need to consider bringing in another tackle. He’s still very raw but possesses good strength and explosiveness at the position. He’d probably have to start right away unless the Patriots want to develop him behind Conor McDermott or Chuks Okorafor.

3.69 Los Angeles Chargers - Blake Corum | RB | Michigan

Another running back comes off the board as Jim Harbaugh reunites with the runner who helped kickstart the Michigan program’s renaissance. Corum would’ve been drafted decently high in 2023 if it weren’t for an injury, but he returned in 2024. He would fit well into the committee of J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards.

3.70 New York Giants - Jaylen Wright | RB | Tennessee

After losing Saquon Barkley, the Giants need to add another back to pair with Devin Singletary. Jaylen Wright possesses great explosiveness and speed. He’s not the most visionary runner and has some issues with fumbles, but he has great potential as a big-play runner.

3.71 Green Bay Packers [from Tennessee Titans via Arizona Cardinals] - Javon Bullard | S | Georgia

Green Bay should be looking to get another safety next to free agent signing Xavier McKinney. Javon Bullard is a pretty versatile guy with good athleticism, which the Packers look for in their prospects. The Packers will definitely be looking to upgrade the secondary, and they do so by getting an athletic corner and an athletic safety.

3.72 New York Jets - Blake Fisher | OT | Notre Dame

The Jets are going all in on Aaron Rodgers this season. That meant bringing in veterans like Tyron Smith and Morgan Moses on the offensive line. Why not bring in a raw tackle prospect to learn behind them? Blake Fisher is a gifted athlete who still struggles with consistency, but could develop if given the chance.

3.73 Detroit Lions [via Minnesota Vikings] - Tyler Nubin | S | Minnesota

Nubin is a good safety prospect who has good size and length but lacks the athletic ability teams strive for in a defensive back. He was very productive at Minnesota and would fill in well as a replacement for C.J. Gardner-Johnson, who left for Philly after one year in Detroit. Nubin is a very intelligent prospect and this is good value here.

3.74 Atlanta Falcons - Ja’Lynn Polk | WR | Washington

Atlanta brought in Kirk Cousins, showing that they’re wanting to compete with a veteran QB. They need to surround him with as much talent as possible to make things more comfortable. Ja’Lynn Polk has good jump ball talent and runs routes well. Polk is good value here, as he’s projected to go in the 2nd round currently.

3.75 Pittsburgh Steelers [via Chicago Bears] - Roger Rosengarten | OT | Washington

TRADE: The Pittsburgh Steelers send picks 84 and 119 to the Bears for pick 75 and a 2025 5th

After addressing the center position in round 1, Pittsburgh looks to the tackle position in the third by trading up with Chicago to land a potential right tackle of the future. Rosengarten struggled against Michigan but showed promise in other games throughout the season.

3.76 Denver Broncos - Kris Jenkins | DT | Michigan

This feels like it’s way too low for Jenkins, who has good potential as a pass-rushing DT. Denver needs to add more help on the defensive line alongside Zach Allen, and getting good value in Jenkins would be an excellent move here. He is the son of a Pro Bowl defensive tackle, so he has NFL talent in his veins.

3.77 Las Vegas Raiders - Patrick Paul | OT | Houston

The Raiders don’t really have a long-term solution at the right tackle position, so they look to Paul here. He’s an older prospect who will turn 24 during the season, but is a long, athletic player. He needs to improve his strength but there is definitely potential.

3.78 Washington Commanders [via Seattle Seahawks] - Brandon Dorlus | EDGE | Oregon

After trading away both Montez Sweat and Chase Young this past year, the Commanders need to grab another guy to be a pass rusher. Dorlus has some versatility and can play both outside and inside if need be. He was 1st-Team All Pac-12 and led the Ducks with 5 sacks, and his physicality could play well next to Dorance Armstrong.

3.79 Dallas Cowboys [from Jacksonville Jaguars via Atlanta Falcons] - Trey Benson | RB | Florida State

TRADE: The Dallas Cowboys send pick 87, pick 233, and a 2025 5th to the Falcons for pick 79

After losing Tony Pollard, the Cowboys didn’t really attempt to find a starter at the running back position. He’s got good athletic ability and is a decent pass catcher while also showing capable ability as a runner. Dallas needs a starter, and they get themselves the best runner on the board and, according to some, the best in the draft.

3.80 Cincinnati Bengals - Jalen McMillan | WR | Washington

The Bengals have been listed as a “team to watch” for Washington’s Jalen McMillan, who recently went for a visit with the team. I’m a huge fan of McMillan and he’s a capable slot receiver who reminds me a lot of Tyler Boyd, who the Bengals just lost in free agency. Adding McMillan would immediately provide a replacement.

3.81 Seattle Seahawks [via New Orleans Saints] - Cole Bishop | S | Utah

After releasing both Jamal Adams and Quandre Diggs, the Seahawks need to find more help at the safety position to go with Julian Love. Bishop was a productive part of Utah’s defense with the size and length to be a starter at the NFL level. He’s a good tackler who plays with hustle and toughness.

3.82 Indianapolis Colts - Malik Washington | WR | VIrginia

Indianapolis is rumored to want to trade up in the first for a pass-catcher like Brock Bowers or Malik Nabers. However, since they don’t do that in this mock, they instead take a high-upside player in the third. Washington put up 1,706 all-purpose yards and 9 touchdowns this past season and was one of the best wideouts in the FBS.

3.83 Los Angeles Rams - Spencer Rattler | QB | South Carolina

The Stetson Bennett selection from last year didn’t age well, so the Rams take another shot at a backup quarterback and future starter here. Rattler has elite traits but struggled at Oklahoma before putting up modest numbers at South Carolina. Learning from Matthew Stafford and Sean McVay would be beneficial for his career.

3.84 Arizona Cardinals [from Pittsburgh Steelers via Chicago Bears] - Mason McCormick | OG | South Dakota State

TRADE: The Arizona Cardinals send Pick 88 and Pick 138 to the Bears for Pick 84

After his incredible athletic testing at the combine, I fully expect Mason McCormick to be a Day 2 pick. Arizona needs to add another piece on the interior offensive line, specifically at the left guard position. I think McCormick will be coveted by multiple teams, so Arizona trades up with their draft capital to ensure they get him.

3.85 Cleveland Browns - Christian Jones | OT | Texas

It’s not certain whether 2020 1st-rounder Jedrick Wills will be extended, so it’d likely be smart for the team to bring someone in at the position. Christian Jones started at right tackle at Texas and is a strong prospect. He could develop into a decent starter.

3.86 Houston Texans [via Philadelphia Eagles] - Maason Smith | DT | LSU

After addressing the interior pass rush with Michael Hall in the 2nd, the Texans get a run-stopping DT in the 3rd in the form of Maason Smith. He’s had some issues with injuries but should be healthy in 2024. Adding both Hall and Smith gives the Texans a much improved DT room alongside Denico Autry.

3.87 Atlanta Falcons [via Dallas Cowboys] - Calen Bullock | S | USC

Adding more secondary help here, the Falcons add Calen Bullock who is a boom/bust safety. He’s very raw, so he’ll need to develop. He could play either corner or safety depending on what Raheem Morris wants to do with him. He’s a very young player, so he definitely has time to learn from guys like Jessie Bates and A.J. Terrell.

3.88 Chicago Bears [from Green Bay Packers via Arizona Cardinals] - Austin Booker | EDGE | Kansas

Chicago needs to add another edge rusher to go with Montez Sweat. Booker is a guy who has limited production but he has very good potential. He has good length and speed off the edge despite his lack of snaps. He could work on his strength, but I think he could be a good starter if given the opportunity.

3.89 Jacksonville Jaguars [via Tampa Bay Buccaneers] - Sedrick Van Pran | C | Georgia

The Jaguars signed Mitch Morse, but they could grab someone for the long-term. Sedrick Van Pran is an experienced starter and an excellent run blocker. He could develop into the future starter at the position once Morse leaves or retires. I think this would be a good investment for the team.

3.90 Arizona Cardinals [via Houston Texans] - Devontez Walker | WR | North Carolina

The current WR room in Arizona is kind of barren outside of 2023 draft pick Michael Wilson. I think it would be smart for the Cardinals to double up at the position. Pairing an excellent route runner like Tez Walker with Harrison and Wilson could form a dynamic trio for Kyler Murray to throw to.

3.91 Green Bay Packers - Bralen Trice | EDGE | Washington

The Packers don’t have a lot of holes on the roster outside of the players they’ve already picked, but taking a guy like Trice could be an interesting gamble in late Day 2. Trice has good speed and agility but didn’t grade well in size and explosiveness categories. I still think he can be a good depth piece to develop into a starter eventually.

3.92 Tampa Bay Buccaneers [via Detroit Lions] - Javon Baker | WR | UCF

The Buccaneers add a third receiver to go next to Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Javon Baker started at Alabama before transferring to UCF, where he put up excellent stats this last season. He creates good separation and is a good route runner. He and Trey Palmer should compete for the 3rd WR spot.

3.93 Baltimore Ravens - Christian Mahogany | OG | Boston College

Baltimore grabbed an offensive tackle in the 1st and get an offensive guard in the 3rd after losing Kevin Zeitler. Mahogany could be a capable starter at left or right guard, both of which the Ravens may consider addressing this draft. He did tear his ACL in 2022, but he came back in a big way in 2023.

3.94 Los Angeles Chargers - T’Vondre Sweat | DT | Texas

No prospect has seen their stock drop more in recent weeks than T’Vondre Sweat, but that doesn’t stop the Chargers from getting him here. Jim Harbaugh wants to win in the trenches. If Sweat can control his weight, he has the potential to be an elite nose tackle at the NFL level.

3.95 Kansas City Chiefs - Dominick Puni | OG | Kansas

Both Trey Smith and Creed Humphrey will be free agents in 2024, and I doubt the Chiefs will have the money to splurge on both of them. Drafting another offensive lineman is something I can see the Chiefs doing early, whether that be at guard or tackle. Dominick Puni is a good pass protector with a decent frame and athleticism.

3.96 Jacksonville Jaguars - Kamren Kinchens | S | Miami FL

Kamren Kinchens has been a highly productive safety but slips in this draft due to below-average athletic testing. He could be a nickel or a safety depending on what Jacksonville wants to do with him. He’s got great ball skills but needs to develop in run support.

3.97 Cincinnati Bengals - Decamerion Richardson | CB | Mississippi State

The Bengals need to add another corner to go next to D.J. Turner and Cam Taylor-Britt. Decamerion Richardson put up good numbers at the combine but needs to develop his coverage ability. Being coached by Lou Anarumo should give him the help he needs to develop into a starter.

3.98 Tennessee Titans [via Pittsburgh Steelers] - Jeremiah Trotter Jr. | LB | Clemson

TRADE: The Tennessee Titans trade Pick 106 and Pick 182 to the Steelers for Pick 98

The Titans need to get a linebacker at some point during this draft due to their lack of depth. They signed Kenneth Murray, but I don’t think that’s enough. Jeremiah Trotter Jr. was a projected first rounder early in the process but has seen his stock drop a slight bit. I think this is a good value pick here, though.

3.99 New York Giants [via Los Angeles Rams] - Cade Stover | TE | Ohio State

Darren Waller has hinted at retirement this offseason, so it wouldn’t hurt to get some insurance for the future. The former linebacker showed flashes of elite play at Ohio State despite not being the featured receiver. He needs to develop his run blocking but should be a decent pass catcher immediately.

3.100 Carolina Panthers [via Washington Commanders] - Braelon Allen | RB | Wisconsin

The Miles Sanders signing has been a disaster for the Panthers. Here's a new running back to pair with Chuba Hubbard. Allen was a highly productive back in his time at Wisconsin, putting up double-digit touchdowns every season even while missing time with injury. He still needs to work on his quickness but has a lot of potential.

Thank you guys so much for reading, and I hope you enjoy watching the draft on the 25th!
